Calza Posted December 7, 2005 Posted December 7, 2005 I am looking to buy Final Fantasy Tactics and Dawn of Souls off ebay. But i've heard too many bootleg/ fake/ asian copys, so does anybody know whos geniune or how i can tell. Thanks (Mods, if in wrong place move it)
Sarka Posted December 7, 2005 Posted December 7, 2005 Uhhh, I dunno if it's in the wrong place, it maybe should be in the trading board.. meh, I'll et Stocka or Moria decide. I suggest not buying any GBA games with a flat box or no manual. You could look on Gamestation.com instead, they occassionally get stock for 2nd hand games. I'd say about 70%+ of GBA gam eson eBay are bootleg, and ones that aren't are usually quite expensive.
Ramar Posted December 7, 2005 Posted December 7, 2005 Don't buy GBA games from ebay full stop. Try places like Chipsworld.co.uk gamestation.co.uk or even gameplay.com. Tactics Advance is rubbish btw.
Colin Posted December 7, 2005 Posted December 7, 2005 Tactics Advance is rubbish btw. Gamesranking score Obviously you don't get on with that type of game then. It's easily one of the best games on the Gameboy Advance, and I've put over 60hrs into it and it fails to bore me. I would be willing to part with my mint copy, but you'll be looking at a fair bit to make me part with it.
Katie Posted December 7, 2005 Posted December 7, 2005 Buying GBA games on ebay is very risky seeing as the majority of sellings are from HK but if you'd rather do that than using a shop then just makes sure that a) it's a UK seller b) there's a picture showing everything If the box/manual are as they should be then it's unlikely it will be a fake. If you're really worried email the seller and check, they probably wont lie seeing as it gives you a reason to report them to ebay. You could ask where they bought the game, if it's a shop then you know it wont be fake. Some people will say in their listings that the cartridge is genuine, they're good to go for too.
