djamb3 Posted December 14, 2005 Posted December 14, 2005 Table tennis:bouncy: it's hard to put effect in tha balls but I think it is possible with this controller.I would buy it:)
Edjamakated Posted December 15, 2005 Posted December 15, 2005 Ok ok....check this out everyone First off let me explain a control scheme that could work for MANY games, but for now I'll use WaveRace as an example. The REVmote should be held like a normal remote, with the front pointed towards the TV and the face parrellel to the celing. Now, if you've ever ridden a jet-ski, you would now that to make a tight turn, you must turn AND lean in the direction you want to go. The same could be translated on to the REV. For example, if I want to make a tight left turn, I would first point the controller left (about 45 degrees), then tilt the controller down and to the left. In one fluid motion, you could pull off a 90 degree turn flawlessly. You can also tilt the controller forward to dive, and upwards to gain air. Rotating the controller left and right will perform barrel rolls. With this control scheme, the rider would seem to "standing" on top of your remote. Now imagine a snowboarding game. This control scheme would apply very well here to. Nintendo could have the most realilstic SnowBoarding sim ever, as well as the most fun arcade version. What about StarFox? Your controller (still pointed forwards, towards the TV) can become your craft. Pointing and tilting can manipulate your vehicle with a huge boost of accuracy. Lifting the controller lifts your craft upwards, higher into the air and vice versa for lowering. You can tilt the front of the controller upwards and then gun the engine to soar higher into the sky. You can then dip the front downwards or completely vertical to catch a free fall. Imagine manuevering through a canyon as StarFox. As it winds left and right, up and down, you can react intuitive with your human instincts. Tilting your controller left or right will turn your craft vertical, allowing you to get through those tight spaces. This canyon level is pretty hectic on its own, but imagine if a slew of enemies were chasing after you, or you were chasing after a slew of enemies. As they try to get away, doing whatever they can to not be caught, you must follow their actions. They may fly over a rock bridge, then dive into an tunnel. You follow as best you can. Once you enter the tunnel you find that itl is blocked at the end. Your enemies fly under the tunnel and into the river (who then spring out of the water after passing the end of the tunnel). You can either follow, or blow up the wall... Sorry, I'm getting ahead of myself. The controller has so much potential for my favorite games, I can't wait till I can play them in the comfort of my home.
21st century cowboy Posted December 15, 2005 Posted December 15, 2005 I really hope nintendo take StarFox back in-house and do a proper job of it cause i think they could really show off the controller with it.
mario114 Posted December 15, 2005 Posted December 15, 2005 Humm....I'd like to see a game where we are a fireman using the controller to throw water into the flames and the nunkchunk to move.... Yeah this would be great! Did you ever play the fire man game on the ps1 or 2 not sure which one now, it was really naff and you hose could magicly extend for infanite lenghts.
mario114 Posted December 15, 2005 Posted December 15, 2005 A mario tennis would rule, and with no power shots it would be a great online game.
Kurtle Squad Posted December 15, 2005 Posted December 15, 2005 A proper Starfox with a DECENT STORY!!!! The Federation vs. Andew Oikonny's Army?!?!
Xeal Posted December 16, 2005 Posted December 16, 2005 Burning Rangers? And I like the idea of Falco joining Wolf at the begining of the game, having a rivalry with that panther guy. I think some movie style scenes would be nice. Did they have those in ASSAULT? Never played it.
