mcj metroid Posted August 6, 2009 Posted August 6, 2009 If i'm on a browser and I open maybe more than 1 tab at a time or I do too much the pages wont load.. It seems because my cpu is interfering.. I'd catch it at 100% sometimes and I don't understand why... does anyone know of any safe ways to reduce this? I tried the program called registry booster once but it completely fucked everything up for a while.. I realise it's probably a question I should be posting on a tech forum.. But hey any starting advice would be helpful. thanks guys
Emasher Posted August 6, 2009 Posted August 6, 2009 Get a flash blocker. Whenever this happens to me I can almost always tie it to flash.
Nolan Posted August 6, 2009 Posted August 6, 2009 It's not that your CPU is "interfering" so much as it's doing too much at once. What else are you doing while browsing?
mcj metroid Posted August 6, 2009 Author Posted August 6, 2009 im doing nothing really most of the time.. I may have about 7 tabs open yes but for about a year this was no problem.. its only lately that i have to let the computer take its time or les the internet will cut out and everything will stop.
Jon Posted August 6, 2009 Posted August 6, 2009 You've got probably got far too many processes running at once, which will often happen overtime. try trimming your files, get rid of some useless programs.
Nolan Posted August 6, 2009 Posted August 6, 2009 run diskcleanup. Also a defrag may be in order, I woudlnt' suggest using the Windows defragger though, Smart Defrag works good though.
