bluey Posted May 24, 2009 Posted May 24, 2009 it's that time again!! my friend is running this year's race for life! PLLLEEEASE sponsor her! not only is it for a very, VERY good cause - it also freaks her out 'cause she has no idea who all these people sponsoring her are! last year you guys nearly doubled her target! click here to sponsor lozi! Hi everyone :-) thanks for visiting my Race for Life sponsorship page. This is the third time I'll be running the Race for Life around the Silverstone circuit - and I do actually mean 'running,' as last year I somehow did it in 35mins, and although at the moment it seems impossible, I'll be trying to beat my time again... I've already got some new hardcore running shoes!! I know the R4L is a fun event, but I am taking it quite seriously; I give 100% support the work that Cancer Research UK do into researching treatments, and ultimately a cure, for this truly devastating disease. I think the statistic is that 1 in 3 of us will be directly affected by cancer, so it's clearly a very important issue for all of us. Sadly, I lost my Uncle Mick to stomach cancer a few years ago and therefore once again, I'm running in his memory. I know it's the recession and all, but... if you can, please dig deep into your pockets and sponsor me to run - even if you can only spare a pound or two, it will make a big difference to my total, and the support really does mean a lot to me. Oh, and if you pay income tax, please remember to tick the "Gift Aid" box when donating so that good old Mr. Darling adds an extra 28% to your sponsorships - at no cost to you! Thanks so much for your support, and an extra big thankyou if you've sponsored me! Lozi x Cancer Research UK is the world's leading independent organisation dedicated to cancer research. We support research into all aspects of cancer through the work of more than 4,250 scientists, doctors and nurses. Over the past 10 years alone, thousands of lives have been saved through earlier detection and improved treatments. But, much work remains to be done if we are to achieve our aim of beating cancer. it's N-E vs. CANCER....go!! click here to sponsor lozi!
Retro_Link Posted May 24, 2009 Posted May 24, 2009 I don't understand why only females take part in Race for Life.
bluey Posted May 24, 2009 Author Posted May 24, 2009 I don't understand why only females take part in Race for Life. cause the merchandise is a bit gay... women tend to need more of an excuse to get off their backsides... men can get involved too - by sponsoring the women!!
