Wesley Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 Hey there. Is there any way in Photoshop to grab a point of an image and move it, then affecting (effecting?) the surrounding area? Here is a ridiculous drawing to help: Is there a way to move that point, which then affects the area to create the shape (outlined in black)? Thaaaaanks guys.
Fresh Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 I can only think of Filer -> Liquify -> Forward Warp Tool.
Wesley Posted February 22, 2009 Author Posted February 22, 2009 I tried this but I didn't get the results I needed. I ended up just using the clone tool and spending a bit of time over it. Thanks though. I never knew of this nice little features. Thanks again.
Wesley Posted October 15, 2009 Author Posted October 15, 2009 Okay, so... this is a big bump, so it will be locked. But I just thought I'd post the actual solution to this in case anyone else ever searches and finds this. So... all you have to do is use a selection, and then switch to the move tool, and then by holding down Crtl you can click and move one of the points of the move selection - which moves the image in the desired effect as posted above, while keeping other parts of the selection as they were. You just use different selections, etc, to gradually move it. I expect someone to tell me off. But, I come in peace. Actually... I could of just made an edit to that original post... ah, lame.
jayseven Posted October 15, 2009 Posted October 15, 2009 No telling off required - it's nice to see the solution I'm sure I was thinking of that before, but I thought the change would be too jarring...
