Have to say great ideas there. Love the idea of giving it away for free and sneaking it onto people's systems...Perhaps give like 5 freebie songs to entice people in...

As for Home there are so many more things they could be doing to integrate with games. Even if they didn't offer the singing via it you mentioned, but how about reruns of people's videos in the Square? Similar to what they have there at the moment showing pictures of people playing games.

Yeah, if the had a SingStar lounge that would be a great place to have popular videos. Maybe private karaoke rooms for online and then a main area for anyone to sing.

In the trophy update there are some home items so I'm hoping on is a TV that lets you play videos in your apartment. Fingers crossed.

I think Home is getting an update tomorrow. I also think that a new area of Xi opens up.

SingStar Trophy Patch Tomorrow, Voice Control On The Way

SingStar fans will have even more reason to sing tomorrow, as SingStar patch 3.01 brings more than 30 trophies to Sony's karaoke title, which they'll soon be able to earn using only their voice.

Tomorrow sees the release of the 3.01 patch for SingStar, an automatic free update to the title that adds PlayStation 3 trophies to the list of reasons to sprain your voice trying to sing along to "I Believe in a Thing Called Love."

You might want to take it easy on your pipes, however, as another new feature arrives on April 22nd - voice control. Now, rather than always needing to keep a controller handy, you'll be able to simply tell the game which song you'd like to sing, hoping it understands what you are saying.

I actually picked up SingStar for the PlayStation 3 this past weekend for some reason, and was wondering what motivation I was really being given to torture my cats with my voice. Trophies should fill that role nicely.

Who needs motivation to play SingStar? Idiot. Just need friends and alcohol. :D

Hehe yeah no need for motivation. Trophies should never be pivotal in the decision of buying a game.

I haven't actually got this but it's hilarious and makes you believe you could actually be good. I think I have a good singing voice, just a bit shy when it comes to something more intimate than charaoke.
