I've got an interview confirmed with Renegade Kid to talk about Dementium, Moon and this mystery game. Bear in mind that they aren't likely to say much about it, but feel free to submit some vague questions to me.

Posted

- Will the game be exclusive to the Wii?

- Will it have multiplayer?

- Will it have a deep single-player?

- What is the target release date?

Looks awesome really.

Thanks for clearing that up then! Nice to see developers throwing their full weight behind the Wii, and only the Wii.

Tellyn, I would like that question be stricken from the record!

Right team. We'll be having an interview with the lovely chaps at RK very shortly, but what do YOU, the reader, want to know from them?

Remember, they're next DS game Moon is almost complete and nearing release, so they'll sure be plenty of development-related anecdotes fresh in their minds. Don't be too shy to squeeze them about their Wii game, either.

So post your questions below!

Ask them if they will continue their developer diary blog after Moon is released. Ask if they have added brightness settings for Moon (IGN said its dark on a normal DS, didn't they?) and ask them if they are shifting their focus from Wii to DS, or if they have future plans for both consoles.

Exclusive: Renegade Kid have confirmed in an interview with N-Europe that their upcoming Wii project is based on Dracula.

Renegade Kid, the survival horror developers best known for the sublime Dementium: The Ward on the DS and the upcoming portable sci-fi horror FPS Moon, have confirmed to N-Europe that their upcoming Wii project will indeed be based on the legend of Vlad the Impaler - more commonly known as Count Dracula.

Here's an excerpt from a recent interview we conducted with Renegade Kid's Jools Watsham...

N-Europe: We know you're currently developing a mysterious Wii title based on a famous horror icon. The bats and the silhouette in the teaser image seem to suggest that said icon will be the infamous vampire, Count Dracula. GameSetWatch also ran a rumour that your project is entitled Son of the Dragon, which translates into Romanian as Dracula. Our question to you is this: is the game based on Dracula?

Jools Watsham: Yes.

Short but sweet. Be sure to check back on N-Europe later when we'll be running the rest of our in-depth interview with Mr. Watsham, and revealing a lot more about Moon, Dementium and other topics.

I've always thought the idea of Dracula- as in Bram Stoker's interpretation- is just a wee bit too sexual for a game.

We've got the Hammer-horror/Boris Karloff (or is that Johnson) inspired Dracula in Castlevania.

Which only leaves a game based on the real legends of Vlad.

The full interview's up. I didn't ask too much about this since I knew they wouldn't say much, but I did get some more slightly vague details!

N-E: We know you're currently developing a mysterious Wii title based on a famous horror icon. The bats and the silhouette in the teaser image seem to suggest that said icon will be the infamous vampire, Count Dracula. GameSetWatch also ran a rumour that your project is entitled "Son of the Dragon", which translates into Romanian as Dracula. Our question to you is this: is the game based on Dracula?

JW: Yes.

N-E: How long has the Wii project been in development for?

JW: We haven’t stated what platform the game is for yet, but we have been working on the game for a few months now.

N-E: It has also been rumoured that your project will abandon the first-person aspect of your previous two titles for the DS. What is the genre of your new project?

JW: We’re still experimenting with a few things that may alter the “genre”, so it is a little too early to say right now.

N-E: Will your project be primarily focussed on a single player mode, or can we expect some multiplayer action?

JW: The primary focus is single player.

N-E: When are you expecting to release the title?

JW: Sorry, I can’t say.

Here's the rest of the interview, it's much more action-packed since we talk about Dementium, Moon and... Tingle. :heh:
