Caris
Right if you remeber i posted a thread about graphics cards about 2 month ago i now have £250 saved up and i am gonna buy one, but a few little questions be4 i give my $$$ away. If i buy a shit hot Radeon x1800 jobbie, (or any good card) would it ever harm my computer? liek could the card ever be to good for my comp? i no i would have to becarfull to make sure my PSU could handle it but anything else liek my mobo etc. Should i get a 512mb card? or will 256mb be in date for sometime yet. also (sound like a real n00b here)... "jagged edges" in games graphics, what do i look for to solve this, is it more pipelines or what? Cheers in Advance. Peace.
Andrew
Anti-aliasing eliminates the jagged edges. Does your motherboard have an AGP slot or a PCI-E slot?
Caris
Oh, im getting a PCI-E Card to go with my mobo. will the Radeons x1800's and x850's have anti alising, cause im damn sure my x600pro aint.
RoadKill
Your x600 pro DOES have anti aliasing, you have to force it in the control panel, or turn it on in the game. It just isn't on by default. Even the Dreamcast had hardware anti aliasing (although the PlayStation2 doesn't!).
