Ike Posted July 31, 2008 Posted July 31, 2008 Sometimes when I shutdown my laptop from a hibernation and I think it happens when it goes to sleep, it restarts again automatically without me touching anything. It's a new laptop as well. It's a Dell XPS 1530 running Vista? Anyone know how to solve this?
Sanchez Posted July 31, 2008 Posted July 31, 2008 As politely as possible, you should try googling before asking, you get the answer quicker. http://www.google.co.uk/search?q=vista+restarts+after+hibernation&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-GB:official&client=firefox-a
Sanchez Posted July 31, 2008 Posted July 31, 2008 My apologies in that case, but if you can't google the answer then I doubt anyone can answer it from here. I certainly can't anyway. Probably yet another vista quirk.

Must be a bug with Vista and/or Dell. Solution? Don't use sleep mode

Raining_again Posted August 1, 2008 Posted August 1, 2008 But I like Hibernation mode :P I never really got the point of it *mumbles to self about wasting electricity and laziness*
