Dante Posted June 16, 2008 Author Posted June 16, 2008 So many music games: Battle of the Bands Guitar Hero III Rock Band Major-Minor's Majestic March Samba de Amigo Wii DDR: Hottest Party Ultimate Band Guitar Hero Aerosmith Guitar Hero IV Band Mashups
Tellyn Posted June 16, 2008 Posted June 16, 2008 The majority of those are/will be decent though (in regards to Dante's last post).
steggy Posted June 16, 2008 Posted June 16, 2008 You can also reduce that list by one, as Band Mashups and Battle of the Bands are the same game
DiemetriX Posted June 23, 2008 Posted June 23, 2008 new ultimate band video: http://www.gametrailers.com/player/35436.html I think it looks good.
Tyson Posted June 23, 2008 Posted June 23, 2008 Well, it looks like a better fit for the Wii then Rock Band or Guitar Hero to say the least. When I bought the Wii I wasn't expecting 20 different peripherals that limited the use of the motion controls. I can't even remember the last game I bought that made a real effort with the controller, even from Nintendo. So, as far as I'm concerned, more games like this, less games I could play on the PS2.
Guest Maase Posted June 24, 2008 Posted June 24, 2008 Exactly I mean, why the hell a Guitar when we can use the Wii Remote...
DazzeL Posted June 24, 2008 Posted June 24, 2008 Exactly I mean, why the hell a Guitar when we can use the Wii Remote... I think that's quite obvious.... Wii mote will never beat the GH/Rock Band guitar as a controller for a guitar game.
Guest Maase Posted June 24, 2008 Posted June 24, 2008 Neither will a real Baseball tack (:X) with a Wii Mote, Racquet (:X) with a Wii Mote, boxing gloves with Wii Mote, golf club with Wii Mote, etc. What does it matter, tough? Wii was made for that, Wii was exactly made for inovation and to end with the peripheral's. Still, i'l buy the Guitar Hero 4, simply because i know this will suck.
DazzeL Posted June 24, 2008 Posted June 24, 2008 The Wii was not designed to "end with the peripherials"..... Comparing a guitar to boxing gloves or a baseball bat is rediculous. Baseball, boxing, tennis are all played with and/or against other people as competitive sports. Playing a guitar, or at least learning to, is a completely different experience. It's far, far more suited to solo or small group play and that's why it works so well. I'd love to see any game with boxing gloves packed sell even a fifth of what guitar hero has. Anyway, my point is not all perihperals are equal. Some are clearly more useful and more game enchanging than others. It's unfair to suggest that they're all essentially the same.
