flameboy Posted May 27, 2008 Posted May 27, 2008 Anyone know of any? I've downloaded a few and they are mostly just trial versions and I don't wanna pay lol! its just to convert some downloaded youtube vids to either avi or mpeg4.
flameboy Posted May 27, 2008 Author Posted May 27, 2008 well just burning them to dvd now to see if its done the job nah doesn't work.... anyone got any other freeware versions of stuff?!
Mr_Odwin Posted May 27, 2008 Posted May 27, 2008 What are you playing it on? Avidemux will create mp4 and avi files but the end device should shape your encoding choices. If it's a standard dvd player DVD Flick is more appropriate.
Cube Posted May 28, 2008 Posted May 28, 2008 http://www.pazera-software.com/products/flv-to-avi-converter/ That's a freeware converter that puts FLV into AVI. I've been told it works fine, but I haven't tried it myself. For putting that onto DVD I'd recommend FLVC or whatever it's called. Ask Mr_Odwin about that (I think it's his, anyway)

EDIT; by the way I found a program called free flv converter which ripped everything fine off youtube and downloaded them and turned them into avi's but they won't play on my PS3 says they are an unsupported data format.
Mr_Odwin Posted May 28, 2008 Posted May 28, 2008 DVD Flick will create a standard dvd. In avidemux if you choose the PSP profile it will very likely be compatible with the PS3. Ideally you'll get h264 in an mp4 container with aac audio.
flameboy Posted May 28, 2008 Author Posted May 28, 2008 right cheers will give it a go again! EDIT; where does dvd flick put the files? It just finished has done everything including supposedly authoring the dvd yet there is nothing on the dvd! ALL SORTED woohoo I now have a lovely home made pompey fa cup dvd!
