Posted April 22, 2008 Right you lovely technical guys and gals.... I've been having problems with Vista, and creating partitions. Basically: What happened was me trying to create a new partition (the unallocated 25.39gb space) and I get this error. Also wondering if the one on the far right of the first disk is okay to remove? Seems odd that its there, and there is nothing that vista can access on it. I don't want to delete stuff and suddenly the thing doesn't boot >_>

Posted April 23, 2008 Mmm this may sound very odd, but I got the exact same warning when trying to install Adobe Reader 8.0 on Vista.
Posted April 23, 2008 Try using the gparted linux live cd. I hear that Vista's disk management ain't great. http://gparted.sourceforge.net/livecd.php
Posted April 23, 2008 Check your hidden files to see if there are a bunch of things that didn't quite get deleted. Sorry... run that past me again? There is no way to access the black section (not in windows anyway), as it hasn't been created or formatted. Can anybody suggest a piece of software or method i could use to sort this out externally? Posted April 23, 2008 Mmm this may sound very odd, but I got the exact same warning when trying to install Adobe Reader 8.0 on Vista. This triggers an alarm bell My guess is you have UAC disabled, re-enable UAC, reboot, try it again.. if this doesn't fix it or it doesn't apply, ignore this shit advice
