I was not doing much today, and you know, sometimes my graphics card gets too hot and I get artifacts.

I'm poor so I can't afford a good replacement heatsink, so my answer was:

I removed the shroud from the heatsink and the stock fan and cable tied a high output 60mm fan to it, oh yeah.

This is what my poor card would have originally looked like:

Christ Roady thats pretty damn impressive, 10/10 for originality. Is it noisy?

It's not that noisy, the stock ones are fairly whiney though and push hardly any air -- I have this fan connected to my front fan controller so I can turn it all the way down so it's hardly audible yet it still pushes a lot more air than the stock fan.

WOW. you are a legend. you defo have a future in bodging things (Managing Director) if we are being politically correct.

Going a bit far there, aren't you? Sure it's a neato mod but it's not going to make Roadie president ;)

But this will.

Nicely done, I ought to try that sometime...

One thing that got me wondering... Are those crumbs on your (I think) sound card?

I'm guessing that's his Voodoo 3, but not sure. Don't think there are crumbs either :)

They look like shortbread crumbs.
