Ninty 182
I have cyberlink powerproducer v3 and when i try to make a dvd, it won't allow me to add my avi. files on it. At the moment I use VLC to play them (dunno if that matters) but when i try and import the files onto the dvd it just says "failed to add video file" Does anyone know why this is (I presume because Cyberlink Powerproducer V3 doesn't support the file format) and is there anything I can do short of getting a video converter and converting it to a different format? Help would be appreciated
Shorty
A DVD player cannot just play avi files burnt on directly, because most of the time they're encoded with something like divx. Unless you have a DVD player that has the specific ability to play avi files, they have to be re-encoded to work straight from the DVD. Many programs can convert your avi files to make them work on a DVD. Mr_Odwin would never let me off if I didn't point you in the direction of his program, FAVC.
