Gio001 Posted December 19, 2007 Posted December 19, 2007 Just checked Gamestation website & noticed XBox 360 Arcade version is now £149. Premium & Elite haven't come down yet!
Jimmy3000 Posted December 19, 2007 Posted December 19, 2007 decent price, really want a 360 but the arcade version seems a bit crap =/ If the premium gets a price drop ill def buy
Dyson Posted December 19, 2007 Posted December 19, 2007 £150?! That's bloody crazy cheap, even for an arcade!
Gio001 Posted December 19, 2007 Author Posted December 19, 2007 If the Arcade has dropped in price the premium & elite may follow.
fex Posted December 19, 2007 Posted December 19, 2007 (edited) If i were in the market for the 360. I'd buy a cheap arcade, then buy a 20Gb Hard Drive which is essentially a premium, but my wallet would be quids up. ________ BABE SPORTS Edited April 28, 2011 by fex
McPhee Posted December 20, 2007 Posted December 20, 2007 Second hand 20GB HDDs go for £30-£40 over at AV Forums, but you could easily get away without one. The Arcade has a memory card, so all you'll miss out on is game demos and DLC
fex Posted December 20, 2007 Posted December 20, 2007 (edited) After doing some pricing up (for the hard drives) via Gameplay.co.uk. Arcade + 20Gb hard drive = ?214.98 - Equivalent to a Premium. Arcade + 120Gb hard drive = ?279.98 - Equivalent to a Elite. Which saves you a little bit, but if you can find a hard drive any cheaper than at gameplay then you have yourself a bargain. ________ LovelyWendie99 Edited April 28, 2011 by fex
Gio001 Posted December 20, 2007 Author Posted December 20, 2007 I think at this time of year where money is tight the price drop could make the difference between a kid getting & not getting an xbox this xmas. A hard drive could be bought at a later date if needed. I think the popularity of the Wii has turned it into a 3 way battle this gen, prices have dropped and there are some good bundles availabe.
McPhee Posted December 20, 2007 Posted December 20, 2007 Sainsburys are doing the 20GB HDD for under £50 (can't remember the exact figure)
