Well, its finally happened to me. And i guess i'm not the only one- no more blocks available in my Wii system memory.

I appreciate this has been asked of Nintendo more than once, but surely, after a year Nintendo should have found a reasonable solution HD support, enhance SD card support. Deleting and Redownloading titles is simply not a convenient option - especially considering the casual skew the Wii has. As a self proclaimed gamer, i'm not interested in repeatedly entering the Shop channel for a quick blast on a fondly remembered game of yesteryear.

Come on Nintendo! Play the game!

Yep....Mine's been full for ages; and it fills up super fast if you've got any N64 games.

Nintendo need to get their finger out next year and stop depending on Wii Sports & Training games to make them money, and start doing stuff for the gamers.

I really hope they make a firmware update to support USB HDDs, so far I don't have any storage problems, but with time I can see things changing, specially with WiiWare coming up.

How much of that are actually playing with any regularity though? I'm still not near capacity and I've barely touched half of what I bought in months.

I thought they said ages ago there was going to be add on support and I was like "Yass I just ordered a 320 gig external drive so that will be great for the Wii"

But I can't find the statement anywhere though :heh:

Damn you must have a lot of stuff. But you can just put the save games in SD cards if you don't play them regularly.

OR Nintendo could make the games available for when we want to play them, instead of having to wait forever to copy games.

That makes no difference. When you want something you don't play/do regularly; you don't want to be digging around in the loft for it.

I'm sorry what? I seriously don't understand what the hell you're saying.

I think it was Kaplan who said that and she's known for saying things out of her ass.

If you want to run that analogy, it's like keeping that Christmas decorations up all year because you can't be bothered taking them down and putting them up again.

I think it was actually. Damn now the source for that isn't legitimate...

She was the one said the Wii was region free, though it was region free Cube wise untill a firmware update...

There is no excuse for there not being a hard drive built in to the Wii, never mind not having support for an external one. Nintendo really fuck me off like this. They made a console with cheap ass components, and charged us premium price for it.

Well mine is starting to fill up...I think if Nintendo planned on keeping this stance they should have atleast provided a larger flash capacity in the console. Atleast some resembling low end ipod size (just as a basis for comparison). I honestly didn't expect this when I bought the Wii, I always imagined SD cards would become the way of storing games and media etc...with an update of some kind.
