Slaggis Posted November 15, 2007 Posted November 15, 2007 My laptop will be arriving soon and I have no more wired ports in my router...... Going to have to use it wireless.... Anyway, what's the chance of me getting a decent connection from the router on the floor below me? lol I don't have much experience with wireless so I'd really like to know. ^^; I'm 2 floors above with my laptop/desktop in my room and the connection is "good" with my BT homehub. So you should be fine.
martinist Posted November 15, 2007 Posted November 15, 2007 the BT home hub in my room works fine with no problems at all. But MSN will cut me off due to a "key ports" error
Slaggis Posted November 15, 2007 Posted November 15, 2007 the BT home hub in my room works fine with no problems at all. But MSN will cut me off due to a "key ports" error Go to the home hub settings and set up a port for msn messenger. Should stop doing it then. (pass is admin.user is admin) just type "bthomehub" (or if that doesn't work, type your IP in there) in your address bar and then choose "advanced". Then go to "application sharing" and choose msn messenger from the drop down menu. That should work for you, hopefully.
