I had meant to do this earlier, but I'm having trouble remembering what was this year and what was last :)

BEST NEW HERO OR TEAM (debut in 2010)

Justice League: Generation Lost

BEST NEW COMIC (#1 shipped in 2010)

other than the obvious Blackest Night, I'd go for Daytripper by Fabio Moon and Gabriel Ba (it would have been Joe the Barbarian by Grant Morrison and Sean Murphy but the last issue has slipped into 2011!)

Sentry destroying Asgard

Morning Glories

BEST ONGOING COMIC (doesn't have to start in 2010)

Im suprised youve got Wolf-Man so high, I knew you liked it but I didnt realise it was more than say TWD or Chew.

Yeah I absolutely love the thing. I really like the artwork, I really love the characters, and its *reasonably* original. And of course I have some artwork so I'm biased. :p

...anyway.

I'm glad they're adressing the fact Cyclops has become more militaristic/rash/organising kill squads/putting children in danger etc. The fans have noticed it for ages.

I still want them to try and direct it back to the older style X-Men, going off on adventures or missions. I'll admit there have been some good moments in this new direction but overall im just not that interested in reading about the entire mutant race living together and as you say, becoming more militaristic.

I agree. As an idea I suppose it's interesting and it "makes sense", but I'm so bored of not having a core cast. It's cool having so many B-listers and C-listers, but yeah. That's why I love Astonishing (especially Xenogenesis), as it's actually a team of X-Men, not a society of them.

thought I'd give my top tens, but as my reading has been limited to mainly new comics from the last 2 years I'll probably miss a few

in no particular order:

Astonishing X-Men

Brubaker's Captain America

Johns' Green Lantern

Chew

The Walking Dead

Invincible

Savage Dragon

52

Planetary

Secret Six

with honourable mentions to DMZ, JMS Thor, Y: the Last Man and the Unwritten
