Yeah I absolutely love the thing. I really like the artwork, I really love the characters, and its *reasonably* original. In no particular order (though I prefer some to others obvs) New X-Men (Retitled "X-Men" - issues 114 - 156) Astonishing X-Men (1-24 + Giant-Size) All-Star Superman Grant Morrison's Batman run (spanning a zillion titles/years) Seven Soldiers Of Victory The Walking Dead Invincible EDIT: Ultimate Spider-Man too (with obligatory shoving Frank Quitely into the equation) Among other stunners. I'm glad they're adressing the fact Cyclops has become more militaristic/rash/organising kill squads/putting children in danger etc. The fans have noticed it for ages. I'll admit there have been some good moments in this new direction but overall im just not that interested in reading about the entire mutant race living together and as you say, becoming more militaristic. It's cool having so many B-listers and C-listers, but yeah. That's why I love Astonishing (especially Xenogenesis), as it's actually a team of X-Men, not a society of them.
