Flaight Posted June 4, 2007 Posted June 4, 2007 Wii remote itself having some sort of voice input support may just be a way to standardize the feature in the future. After seeing the likes of Odama on NGC I can believe it. On the other hand I would agree that if hardware addon would be necessary anyway for adding a proper mic, it begs the question why such support can't be added within the addon... Ok I'll shut up now. I'm confused
Cube Posted June 4, 2007 Posted June 4, 2007 it begs the question why such support can't be added within the addon... If they were planning to make cheap microphones (i.e. without this part), to give away free with some games.
ViPeR Posted June 4, 2007 Posted June 4, 2007 Guess it's got something to do with stereoscopic 3D....
Flaight Posted June 4, 2007 Posted June 4, 2007 If they were planning to make cheap microphones (i.e. without this part), to give away free with some games. You mean like, the "addon" will be more established among Wii users that way? Then yes, that seems logical. It is true that generally it's harder to sell addons later than bundled at the start. In a way though, couldn't that also apply to the mic too? Especially if it is cheap. Then again I guess they would want to include the more pricey component first and leave the cheaper one out. Oh well I don't know really. It seems any explanation seems possible lol
