i just got a razor the other day but when i try to put a file (its in midi format) onto it it goes into the audio folder and i cant acess it for a ringtone

anyone know how to do this.

If you go to settings , then ring style , below ring style it should offer the options to change detail (loud detail in my case) , then go to calls and all the music files should be there somewhere amidst all the pre-installed junk.

Sounds like the file is stored on the SD card but not the phone , so try to copy the file from the card to phone and then it should appear as detailed above.

You can also try moving it from card to phone but its best to copy it.

I was assuming that it was one of the later models with the micro SD cards , so I'm not really sure then. Sorry.

EDIT - Doesn't bringing up the options when clicking on the file allow you to 'apply as ringtone' ?

Are you using Vodafone? If so, they've blocked that function - you have to buy ringtones on Vodafone Life.

its probably the same with telus
