Emasher Posted May 26, 2007 Posted May 26, 2007 i just got a razor the other day but when i try to put a file (its in midi format) onto it it goes into the audio folder and i cant acess it for a ringtone anyone know how to do this.
ThePigMarcher Posted May 26, 2007 Posted May 26, 2007 If you go to settings , then ring style , below ring style it should offer the options to change detail (loud detail in my case) , then go to calls and all the music files should be there somewhere amidst all the pre-installed junk.
ThePigMarcher Posted May 26, 2007 Posted May 26, 2007 Sounds like the file is stored on the SD card but not the phone , so try to copy the file from the card to phone and then it should appear as detailed above. You can also try moving it from card to phone but its best to copy it.
Emasher Posted May 26, 2007 Author Posted May 26, 2007 my razor dosent have an SD port. i moved it with bluetooth i can find the song on the audio menu it just isn't on the ringtone menu
ThePigMarcher Posted May 26, 2007 Posted May 26, 2007 I was assuming that it was one of the later models with the micro SD cards , so I'm not really sure then. Sorry. EDIT - Doesn't bringing up the options when clicking on the file allow you to 'apply as ringtone' ?

Cube Posted May 26, 2007 Posted May 26, 2007 Are you using Vodafone? If so, they've blocked that function - you have to buy ringtones on Vodafone Life.
Charlie Posted May 26, 2007 Posted May 26, 2007 What type of RAZR is it? There are a lot of different ones now.
