welsh_gamer Posted February 10, 2007 Posted February 10, 2007 Mario Baseball was the worst offender. Dancing and Football were pretty decent spin offs. Im tempted to try Mario Basketball tho.
THE ganondorflol Posted February 10, 2007 Author Posted February 10, 2007 Although Sunshine may never hold a candle to other Mario games, that rollercoaster level ruled. I kept on playing it over and over again.
Kurtle Squad Posted February 10, 2007 Posted February 10, 2007 One thing I don't like is that fact he's got tennis, golf and football games. I don;t think Mario Party is any good either. I think he's had his name tarnished by being attached to everything and anything. He should have stuck to what he's good at and maybe Kart and RPG. As for the sport series, Nintendo should've developed their own genuine sports series, like Sega did. Smash football is awesome!!!...and the others are decent. However, I do agree he's milked; especially with that dancing thing!!! Nintendo only have 2 sports games; and they originated on the N64...The NES sports all turned into Mario games (Golf, Tennis, Baseball)
mcj metroid Posted February 10, 2007 Posted February 10, 2007 Here's a list of games Mario has been in, (not all of them are 'Mario' games, some of these appearances are just cameos) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Mario_games_by_year I think Mario has been milked dry in many ways. It's sad. i agree with you but these games are still good.Lets not forget that nintendo rarely make a bad game.Sometimes average but never really bad yes i always used that argument too.i mean you dont see sonic in virtual tennis

But a genuine sport series with the same great gameplay would also serve them better too. It would give them new strong franchises rather than looking as if they rely on tagging Mario onto everything for sales.
