fanman
All 3 MGS games are fantastic. MGS3 is better then MGS2, because it has a more emotion driven story, and at the same time an evolution in gameplay and presentation. I totally agree. MGS2's story was far more interesting, and was actually driven by the plot, but MGS3's just had more, and had more effect.
dabookerman
I totally agree. MGS2's story was far more interesting, and was actually driven by the plot, but MGS3's just had more, and had more effect. I mean, the difference was, MGS3 was set in 64' so they couldnt go all out on crazies (other then some fantastical bosses) where as MGS2 is set in the future, so they can afford to be creative with the story. MGS3 did work in making MGS2 make more sense regarding the patriots, Ocelots hand and other things. It's great because all we are left with is what happens after MGS2, and all of that will be answered hopefully in 4. Ultimately, i think MGS is a series where one game cannot really work on its own, I see it as LOTR, and MGS 1 - 4 + PO should be played to truly understand the story. Mr. Bananagrabber
Killer 7's ending was utter shit. The whole story just stank of a guy who couldn't tell a story. Whatever he thought was going on certainly didn't come over well in the game. Bullshit. I hate it when people simply attack something they're too ignorant/stupid to understand. And this is a classic example. Killer 7 easily had the best storytelling and plot of any game ever made, only MGS comes close. The fact is it was so out there that you had to have an open mind to understand any of it. People can bash the gameplay all they want, I don't care. But the story and the way it was told was incredibly innovative (Not in a rubbish motion sensing way) that it's no wonder people choose to bash it than understand it I suppose. Edit- I came off sounding horribly pretencious there. I didn't mean anything I said and I certainly didn't mean to sound like a **** :p

I loved the Matrix, adored Fight Club, I love Identity (the Ray Liotta film). I think well written and thought provoking plots are brilliant. I didn't like Killer 7s plot as much as I wanted to because I felt it was confused. It tried to pull off a thought provoking and wonderful plot but left more things unexplained than it did answered. Don;t get me wrong I loved the game, the art style, the charcters and the unique gameplay. I just think that it could've been soemthing that at the end everything fell into place and people would;'ve been amazed, instead it was one of those endings where things were unclear. Personally, I like a plot that makes me think, but one that is clear as well.
