Daft Posted December 29, 2006 Posted December 29, 2006 I've decided to jump on the 360 bandwagon I was wondering if there were any special deals around? I would be great if it included a wireless adapter and do I need any cables to make it HD?
Chuck Posted December 29, 2006 Posted December 29, 2006 If you hunt around you could get a Premium Pack with a couple of games and an extra wireless pad for £300. Get a VGA cable, its da bomb. Anda wireless Adaptor will set you back around £55 at best.
Charlie Posted December 29, 2006 Posted December 29, 2006 You can probably pick up a wireless adaptor on ebay around the £30-£40 mark I think, I was looking at them a few months back.
ipaul Posted December 29, 2006 Posted December 29, 2006 There were some pretty good deals in gamestation last time i checked but you could probably find better elsewhere if your tried. Anda wireless Adaptor will set you back around £55 at best. Is at best the most expensive or the cheapest you will find one...?

Ramar Posted December 30, 2006 Posted December 30, 2006 If you're a student and have got a hmv student card, you can use it online to get discount (though technically they shouldn't give you discount on consoles). MY 360 should arrive some time, providing they gave me the free upgrade to special delivery like it says on the site. Premium Console itself only cost £260.99.

Cos if it is Ill have to borrow my friends cos I only have the plain old NUS card and for some reason my uni doesn't get the extra!
Ramar Posted December 30, 2006 Posted December 30, 2006 I use to use my NUS card, I now use a store discount card, when you register you just add the number in the section student discount. So go for it. And to confirm, it arrived this morning, only £260.99 for a Premium Console. Though I did have to buy the PES6 bundle for it to work, as of yet Pro Evo 6 has not arrived so technically I could cancel that and save myself a tenner but I want it either way.

How do you get that? Do you work for them?
Ramar Posted December 30, 2006 Posted December 30, 2006 When you show them some student ID, they give you a in store student discount card, so you don't need to flash your NUS/Uni ID/College ID. Just hand over the card and they swipe it in.
