flameboy Posted December 27, 2006 Posted December 27, 2006 ok so know there is a thread for this kinda thing, but this is desperate! was just sat using my wii had just finished playing red steel, was on the wii menu all set to pick the mii channel, when all of a sudden my wiimote just cuts out and doesn't work, now it isn't the batteries cos they were fresh this week. no matter how many times I try to resync it the lights just keep flashing and it doesn't sync?!!!!! I've tried pulling the plug on the wii and nothing!!!! which way round are you meant to press the sync buttons? I've never done it before, also just use one time sync for the second wiimote, has this happened to anyone else before?!!!! PLEASE HELP ARGH!!!!
KKOB Posted December 27, 2006 Posted December 27, 2006 which way round are you meant to press the sync buttons? I've never done it before, also just use one time sync for the second wiimote, has this happened to anyone else before?!!!! It tells you in the manual . . . try syncing both your controllers properly, its a bit silly to only temporarily do it on your own console.
flameboy Posted December 27, 2006 Author Posted December 27, 2006 It tells you in the manual . . . have you tried using a different Wiimote or do you only have one? yep tried both of my wiimotes, didn't think these problems were meant to happen with the wiimote that came with it, thought it was auto-synced?! I don't have my manual with me, left it at uni- and before anyone suggests it, moving from one house to another won't have done it, like i've knocked it or something... as I've been here for over a week now!
KKOB Posted December 27, 2006 Posted December 27, 2006 i think they are auto-sync but maybe your first Wiimote has died or something. i think i just hold down the button on the Wii then keeping this held hold down the button on the wiimote till it syncs. dunno if thats right but it worked christmas day. also are you using normal AAs or rechargeable ones?
ReZourceman Posted December 27, 2006 Posted December 27, 2006 My girlfriend made my Wii drop on the floor from about 2ish feet high...And it was fine. (Although I was mad Lol)

ViPeR Posted December 27, 2006 Posted December 27, 2006 Leave a 3 second delay between pressing the SYNC buttons. That's the only way it works on mine.

ReZourceman Posted December 27, 2006 Posted December 27, 2006 right cheers...which button do you press first? The red one. If that doesnt work press the Sync one.
flameboy Posted December 27, 2006 Author Posted December 27, 2006 The red one. If that doesnt work press the Sync one. I meant as in the red button on the Wii or the red button on the wiimote?!!!!
ViPeR Posted December 27, 2006 Posted December 27, 2006 I pressed the console one first. Not that I planned it that way. In the manual it indicates you press them both at the same time. It would never work so I treated it like with any two devices trying to connect and left about a 3 second delay between pressing the console and the remote buttons.

ViPeR Posted December 27, 2006 Posted December 27, 2006 yep done it cheers! phew... No worries I suspected someone somewhere would end up having the same problem due to the poor manual instructions. It really does look as if you have to press them at the exact same time. Shame technology isn't that fast yet.
ReZourceman Posted December 27, 2006 Posted December 27, 2006 Sorry about my post, it was a joke at how unhelpful I can be. (Both buttons are sync and both are red) Heh. Im glad to hear youve got it working.
Rossatron Posted December 27, 2006 Posted December 27, 2006 I've had my Wiimotes cut out a few times now...has anyone else seemed to find that holding A + B together seems to sort it out as well? Maybe it was just beginner's luck...
