Gaijin von Snikbah Posted December 26, 2006 Posted December 26, 2006 Dost anyone can recommend a programme that converts normal movie files into working Motion JPEG files for viewing on the Wii? I will be thankful if so events.
4q2 Posted December 26, 2006 Posted December 26, 2006 Converting movies from dvd ? The imToo apps are ok for doing that. If you already have the movie ripped to hdd, try Super © as a freeware option. Theres also an option in there for converting flvs as well. http://www.erightsoft.com/SUPER.html
Charlie Posted December 26, 2006 Posted December 26, 2006 http://www.downloadatoz.com/wii-converter/ That program is pretty good I think, although I haven't tried it out as I'm on a Mac.

Rummy Posted December 27, 2006 Posted December 27, 2006 Does this mean there is a way to convert video files so they can be played off an SD card on Wii? I'd be quite interested in that. I also need to find out how to convert .3gp files into video(avi, mpg etc) files. *goes to tech forum*

I haven't actually tried this for Wii yet (haven't had the need to), but I would use PICVideo MJPEG Codec by Pegasus. It is a commercial codec though  BTW this whole Motion JPEG thing annoys me. It truly is a bad idea but unfortunately many digital cameras use it, and Wii's photo channel was made for digital cameras.
