  2. I thinks it to do with the fact that the industry is waking up to the fact that the Wii may be the Number 1 console this time round.
  3. Thursday July 13, 9:00 am ET Madden NFL, Need for Speed, Harry Potter, Tiger Woods PGA TOUR, SSX and The Godfather All Custom-Designed for the Wii REDWOOD CITY, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 13, 2006--Get ready to run, jump, drive, race and win with the flick of a wrist! Electronic Arts (NASDAQ:ERTS - News) today revealed six new games that are in development for the upcoming Wii from Nintendo. EA's dedicated Wii development team is crafting six custom-designed titles including new releases from the Madden NFL, Need for Speed, Harry Potter, Tiger Woods PGA TOUR ®, SSX and The Godfather franchises. Each title will remain true to the hallmarks of its franchise but is being designed to maximize the power of the Wii hardware and take full advantage of the uniqueness and innovation of its one-of-a-kind controller. The Wii version of Madden NFL will be demonstrated for a group of elite critics and industry media later today at EA's Studio Showcase 2006. Additional titles currently under development will be announced in the coming months. "Once we started to experiment with Madden on Wii, there was an explosion of innovation. Everyone in the studio is energized by the creative opportunity afforded by both the hardware and controller. By reaching into our catalogue, we are able to bring a fresh and distinctive experience to some of EA's most popular franchises. Creatively, the game play possibilities are staggering and endless," said John Schappert, Senior Vice President and General Manager, EA. "Nintendo is excited to see the broad array of signature franchises that EA's talented development teams are designing for Wii," says Reggie Fils-Aime, president and COO, Nintendo of America Inc. 4. Retro_Link where did u get these images, could you post the link so I can read the whole article. Cheers
  5. 1. Super Mario 64 - Popped my 3D cherry on this one, spent most of the cold winter of 96 playing it on my Jap N64. A truly innovative masterpiece, the sheer scale of the achievement, in originality, variety and technological might earns it my best game ever, it will always hold a special place in my heart. 2. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time – I was put under a spell playing this game. It’s a rich, emotive experience that’s been crafted with love. An amazing game. Every videogamer should play this game, your can’t call yourself one unless you do. 3. Super Mario Kart – I am torn between SMK and the MKDS. SMK wins because it gave me a new gaming experience. I must have logged on over 500 hours playing this one. Battle mode is my fav!! 4. Goldeneye – What other game can you kill Robbie Coltrane in a deathmatch, enough said!!! 5. F Zero X – I loved this game, it’s mad fast paced action with awesome tracks, that runs at a smooth 60fps made this a game a must have. Deathrace was nuts too!!!
  6. It depends on your broadband connection the maximum speed I get on my 2mb connection is 240k per sec that means I can download 864mb (At constant maximum connection speed) in one hour. I downloaded Zuma Demo on my mate’s 360, which btw is a great game. It took over 10 minutes to get it and I think the file is 150mb, I was really surprised because he has a 10mb connection.
  7. PS1 games where on CD, which were up to 700mb on each disc. Firstly 700mb would take best part of a hour to download with a 2mb connection. Secondly the Revo will have 512mb of flash memory not enough memory to store one game. It would be cool if the Revo was backwards compatible with the Dreamcast, Nintendo and Sega have been really chummy recently.

    E3

Its trade only for the press for conferences, but it's easy to BS your way in. I think E3 is open to the public for 2 days. I was thinking of going on Holiday (if I can afford it) to the states anyway, so I can fit E3 in round that. The thing that pisses me off is that I am going to Washington with work in July!! Either way I thinking going to E3 and actually playing on the Revo Controller will beat downloading videos of the games any day of the week.

    E3

You need to be over 18 to get in. I would love to go to this years E3, it going to be the best one ever, I would pretend to be a publisher and get in to the Nintendo E3 press conference and get some freebies that I could sell on ebay to pay for the trip. Sounds like a plan!! Not only that, but the show floor would be cool too. Actually getting my hands on the Revo controller and playing Mario 128
  10. Check out this link for an article on the write up of Feb 2006(???) issue of Nintendo Power regarding more developer feedback for the Revo controller. Thanks for guys over at Revolution Report for this one. It seems that developers are genuinely excited about the Revo, we never had this much positive quotes for the GameCube. Nintendo will kick ass this time round.
  11. An elderly couple go to a sex therapist's office. The doctor asks, "What can I do for you?" The man says, "Will you watch us have sexual intercourse?" The doctor raises both eyebrows, but he is so amazed that such an elderly couple is asking for sexual advice that he agrees. When the couple finish, the doctor says, "There's absolutely nothing wrong with the way you have intercourse. He thanks them for coming, he wishes them good luck, he charges them £50 and he says goodbye. The next week, however, the couple return and asks the sex therapist to watch again. The sex therapist is a bit puzzled, but agrees. This happens several weeks in a row. The couple makes an appointment, have intercourse with no problems, pay the doctor, then leave. Finally, after 5 or 6 weeks of this routine, the doctor says, "I'm sorry, but I have to ask. Just what are you trying to find out?" The old man says, "We're not trying to find out anything. She's married and we can't go to her house. I'm married and we can't go to my house. The Holiday Inn charges £98. The Hilton charges £139. We do it here for £50, and I get £43 back from BUPA!"
  12. I was watching my mate play PD0 online using his 360 headset whilst some american swore at him. And I was thinking Nintendo could easily release a headset for Revo using the expansion port on the bottom of the controller. And the I thought how cool it would be if Nintendo would put a sensor on the side of the headset so it would track your head movements. So in an FPS you could look around by moving your head, and can carry on using the controller to move around tilting the controller in the direction you want to move. I think this could happen but I think it will need a lot of refinement before it would properly work!!
  13. A blonde calls her boyfriend and says, "Please come over here And help me. I have a killer jigsaw puzzle, and I can't figure out how to get it started." Her boyfriend asks, "What is it supposed to be when it's finished?" The blonde says, "According to the picture on the box, it's a tiger." Her boyfriend decides to go over and help with the puzzle. She Lets him in and shows him where she has the puzzle spread all over the table. He studies the pieces for a moment, then looks at the box, then turns to her and says, "First of all, no matter what we do, we're not going to be able to assemble these pieces into anything resembling a tiger." He takes her hand and says, "Second, I want you to relax. Let's have a nice cup of tea, and then ..." He sighed................
  14. Also Nintendo have stated that Revolution will be power efficient, unlike some other consoles.
  15. Ok, I found this on another forum, its an article from a university lecture that he did a few years ago . I would expect that the lecture that he did today would have been the more of the same. Interesting read nevertheless.
