Everything he said is completely true, and everyone else on the IGN roundtable last week (i think it was 11 editors) agreed with him. If Nintendo are releasing one simple Wii game that people can 'pick up and play' straight away (Wii sports), Nintendo can't put the price at $250, it's something that's just too much for consumers. First of all, $199 seems ALOT cheaper at a casual glance that $250. Also, the 360's core pack only costs $300, and if parents are looking at the demos showing in shops of the difference in graphical quality, some will choose the 360's core pack. Nintendo would probably sell all the 6million Wii's that they want to release at launch if the price was $250, but still, Nintendo need the price top be $199. It's attractive to new people who want to play games and it isn't expensive conpared to the others at all. Matt is completely right.

Well, i do try : peace:

The grapple works with either Link or samus, it's pretty useful! And yeah that fox player is really good, the stuff he does is crazy! I don't think i could even attempt the stuff he does, my brain isn't as quick as lightning im afaid .

Let's just play for fun. nintendo made this game to bring us together, not tear us apart.

Your current "I need to get back to" List
Goron_3 replied to Stocka's topic in General Gaming Discussion
Hmmmm, it'd have to be completing ToS on the hardest diifficulty mode (with myself playing as Kratos, haven't done that yet). -
Ok let's all agree. We all have different types of playing and aslong as we have fun like Nintendo want us to, it's all good. If i play you guys on Online smash, i would gladly play with items on, just don't go saying you're better than me if you win :P
-
I hope one of the features of this game is that you can save your fights onto your memory card. It's such a pain hitting an awesome combo and not remembering how you did it

You don't need proof. When you make a game, you make a physics engine. Certain things in a physics overlap, and they got rid of any mistakes in the engine, but Wavedashing is something that they couldn't really get rid of anyway, because they would had to of started to engine from basics which is fairly pointless. Also, smash is NOT about playing with items, trust me mate. The game designers know this, anyone good knows it. Items are just a way of getting into the game and to keep people playing Adventure mode etc (especially to get the Mew trophy, All Star on Hard without losing a continue). Playing with items means the game is VERY boring, honestly, there is no skill factor at all. Learning these advanced techniques takes 10mins, tops. And you say that these techniques are exploits? You mean to say short hopping you air moves and fast falling them is a glitch? I'm pretty sure the developers put both short hopping and fast falling moves into a game. There was also an interview in a magazine when smash came out (think it was in CUBE), and it said that the developers had been playing competitive smash since they finished it and that they didn't play with items on. Smash is about speed and style of the way you win, and by doing this, you have a lot more fun than you could ever have with items, trust me i was an item noob a while back, and so was thesupersmashbrother, and he'd tell you how much better it is. I'm not saying you should learn these things, I'm saying there's no need to criticise the good smash players because they could probably beat you or whatever. Seriously, it takes 10mins to learn the most useful advance technique, tops. Also, being an 'Elite idiot' i think you'll find is a lot more fun and tense, unlike n00b play, which is like Smash attack, Dodge, and repeat. These elite players don't exploit these glitches, and glitches are banned from tounies anyway. If you watch these so called 'Elite Idiots' play, they just know what move to use and when to use it. They don't exploit glitches mate, trust me.

OMG Tom nook would rock! His Up+B would make him fly though (raccoons can fly, didn't you know? another thing Super Mario Bros. 3 taught me )
-
Jigglypuff is one the best characters if masterred (shes ranked 8th and for good reason). Her rest move is actually the most powerful move in the game and she has great recovery aswell as amazing air attacks (they have high priority...which is very good). Pichu is shit i agree, and Mewtwo is FAR too underpowered, honestly, he should be god!
-
Hitmonchan and Hitmonlee are perfect for Smash. I've always wondered why Nintendo never put them in, because they would be much better than pichu :P
-
Mewtwo is the weakest character in the game already, so I doubt that Mew would be weaker. Maybe he'd be Stronger and faster, but have worser recovery (mewtwos recovery is so awesome lol). I think Mew could be like Falco, quick and strong but with a poor recovery.
-
Here you go mate...Just one tip... DONT BLINK!
-
1. Wavedashing was discovered by the designers and left in deliberately. 2. You call these silly techniques...So according to you, SHFFL and air attack (short hopping and fastfalling and air attack) doesn't make a different, because believe me it does. 3. 'Silly idiots' makes no sense, because they have just played the game enough to do these skills without messing up. Tbh, when you play online smash against these 'Elite players' as you call them, you will realise how useful these techniques are. I thought they were pointless until I lost to my friend Matt, then i realised I was gona have to get good, and now i rekon i could beat these Pros (well maybe, I've seen a lot of vids and i think i could....). Anyway, these advanced techniques arent for you if you don't want to use them, but when you realise what smash is like when you learn some basic skills and can apply them often against a skilled opponent, you'll love online smash more than your mum
-
Yeh, Mew-Three Falco and Fox are similar and have the same moves, but there styles are so different. It's physically impossible for a human to master Fox (ure brain and hands can't work fast enough; see the video Shined Blind on youtube.com) whilst falco isn't as good at comboing but stronger. I hope they don't have too many clones in SSB:B, would piss me off so much
-
Well put. When I was n00b link and Thesupersmashbrother played as pikachu, i lost to him a few time and i dnt think I beat him (he used to be better than me) and this was hard for me as I had never been beaten easily before. Then I learnt all the advanced techniques as Marth forcing him to play as Falco, and now it's so much fun. I'd say, and im sure he'll admit this, I'm a tad better and my win ratio is higher, but our fights are so close. Getting better and learning to advanced techniques does make the matches alot more fun.
-
Lol, way to suck up to him ( I love you to Ashley ) Ganon is a very lucky bastard if you ask me...All the other clones have ended up worse (Pichu, Y.Link etc) but Ganondorf has got lucky; hes really powerful and he's got a good recovery too. Then there's mewtwo whos completely underpowered

Zelda: Twilight Princess Discussion (SPOILERS: BEWARE)
Goron_3 replied to EchoDesiato's topic in Nintendo Gaming
The Lost Woods would be endless -
I really hope they don't get rid of any characters, it would suck so bad! I even heard some people saying they should get rid of Falco or Fox (two of the most popular characters on it)! I think a good total of characters would be 40-45.
-
That was a bit harsh lol! It does a lot of damage but it will only hit someone who has an IQ of a pig, because it takes like 4 seconds to use
-
You know what's a pointless move......Ganondorfs Up A Tilt (the one where he charges up his leg). I mean wtf!
-
True story, they really will!
-
I thought Prime 3 looked great anyway, so I don't really mind this. And Tony Hawks on advanced hardware....hmmm
-
lol! Well when Brawl comes out, you better be ready.
