  1. GAME are now ending their rewards and elite programmes.

    Quote

As of 31 July 2024 (“Closure Date”) the GAME 'Reward' Programme (“GAME Reward”) and the GAME Elite Membership Scheme ("GAME Elite") shall come to an end, after which GAME Reward customers and GAME Elite members ("Elite Members") will no longer be able to earn GAME Reward points on purchases made in GAME stores or online at game.co.uk or redeem any GAME Reward or GAME Elite points remaining on your GAME Reward account.

Next will be them announcing they no longer sell games.

The whole story is a storm in a teacup though, to the point of people saying they'd quit playing a game they're enjoying. There was a pretty good article on Kotaku documenting the sensationalism.

Wonder if the people who got refunded are just going to buy the game again...

They must have known that adding the PSN requirement would then restrict what countries it would be available in though.

I find it odd they have 3 stores on the same street, can they not move one further up north?

Ehh... not as good as their usual licensed wears.  The only one I reckon is even remotely classy is the Korok pocket one, but even that one feels a bit kitschy.

Their Animal Crossing range was so much better.

Yeah, I agree, not their best designs, he says as he orders 3 of them.

He's the ultimate lifeform created by Professor Gerald Robotnik (Dr. Robotnik's granddad) and an evil alien who was setting up a long-term invasion of Earth. He then ended up in stasis for 50 or so years before Dr. Robotnik finds him.

He looks like a hedgehog because the professor saw an ancient prophetic mural depicting Super Sonic.

Seems I missed quite a bit of lore by skipping that game.

Is it worth doing the Whispwoods? Do you get anything for it?

Metal Slime monsters appearance rates increase a lot and makes it super easy to farm Metal Kings which makes grinding much easier.

You also unlock some extra boss fights to get better skill scrolls, but those are mostly useful if you want to be competitively.

Story wise it wraps up a couple of things.

The Whispwoods area is actually quite short, but the bosses are really strong, you'll probably need at least 1 or 2 higher rank monsters.
