I didn't mean Glasgow, I meant when I was there the department felt a bit boring. That was probably due to being with all my friends on the Open day. Never really got a real chance to stop and actually see what it was like. Sigh I know Glasgow easily has the most stuff to do but having lived near Glasgow all my life, Edinburgh and to a certain extent St Andrews just seems fresher and obviously a nice change.

Was it Maths at St. Andrews as well? Before I sent away my ucas I was pretty much set on St Andrews but now that i've had all the offers back I'm really not sure. I was at Strathclyde today and their courses seemed fantastic as I can do a Meng CS or CS with Law which is different from the other uni's. but I'm not too sure about the department. I was at Edinburgh last week and its facilities were immense and their Computing/Informatics department is ridiculously impressive. I'm not sure about Glasgow, it just seems a bit boring. When I went to St. Andrews I was just awestruck, the town is awesome, the department seems pretty good, smaller class sizes but I'm just not too sure if the courses are as good as Edinburgh's. Just wondering does anybody here do Computer Science?

St Andrews gave me an unconditional yesterday for Computer Science, Edinburgh and Strathclyde gave me the same as well. Glasgow are just messing about it seems. I'm not really sure what to do, St Andrews is probably my first choice but I Edinburgh's department is probably the best in Scotland. Sigh decisions... Can somebody explain the student loans? Maybe i'm just being an idiot but I don't really understand why my folk's have to contribute to me taking out a loan, I will only have to pay what the government lends me yeah?

wut? So because they mess up the average review score they suck at reviewing? Metacritic and gamerankings really have ruined the internets. sigh, Choze you don't deserve any special attention. A demo isn't the full game how can you really tell? Apart from the millions of pounds worth of PR behind the Killzone hype wave? Also are you saying that EDGE are wrong because they didn't rate it the same? Even though IGN's 7 is EDGE's 5? And this is of course not reading EDGE's actual review, you know the most important bit. Sigh. Killzone seems to be getting get a few hyperbolic reviews... lol Let's Tap > Killzone 2 This is almost as bad as neogafz.

Blame the EU. They made MS have a version of its OS that dosn't come with Windows Media Player as it was unfair. Thats why you got Vista Home Basic, this is just the next step and its gonna be even better if the IE thing is passed.

I doubt there will be a demo, the only thing I reckon a demo would is harm sales. I know it sad but I'm buying it because its a Halo game, it isn't the only reason, Ensemble make great games and hopefully this will be a swan song of sorts for them. Yeah the EDGE previews havn't been the greatest but I'll still looking forward to do it. I can see it being the best RTS on any console but I'll guess we'll just have to wait and see.

They are all PS3 exclusive games, Caris was talking about multi-platform games.

New RPG by Square-Enix, should be multi-platform release 360 & PS3 The most important thing is its a new ip and the director from The Bouncer is leading it. There will be two main characters that you will be able to play as one called 'Rush' who is supposed to be a typical FF style hero and then 'The Conqueror' who will be a dark brooding anti-hero. They will appeal to both Japanese and American markets. It will be released simultaneously in Japan and North America which will be awesome for importers. I wonder if they will have the dual audio system aswell?

Actually the Live number is only for Gold, paying members. And 41 million PSP's have been sold and 16.84 million PS3's against Xbox 360's 22 million. Sure you've got the pc games but most use the same gamertag as their 360 and there is maybe 5000 max still playing xbox1 online. So yeah good figures.

Newer hardware, won't be as fragmented etc. I'm really liking the new dashboard, avatars are kinda cool I guess but the interface is just a lot better, cleaner and easier to use, at least for me.

Anybody that got an email yesterday/today can now download the update. It seems they put it up a bit early but who's complaining...
