I don't see how you can just guess that. It seems really out of place.

The mafia already know that Cube somehow knew their target because he said so. They know he could potentially do it again so the danger was there from the first post. It's not unreasonable for the town to ask why they should trust the information.

I completely agree with the sign up threads only being open for 3 days or so before game start time (unless not enough people join or whatever). The problem with 3/4 games at once is getting the people to play. At the moment we're getting around 20 players per game, but that's with 2 games going at a time. Increase it to 3 or 4 games and I don't think you'll get the numbers you want. I don't think we should have more than 2 games running (though I'd happily play 4 at a time myself) because I just don't think we'd get the numbers for each game. 4 games of 10 isn't as good as 2 games of 20 (I know the numbers won't be that diverse but meh). Which is why I am waiting to start my Heroes mafia. The only reason we have a queue is because people don't want too many games at once. I'd feel bad jumping ahead of someone who's been waiting. I don't think anyone should start any more sign up threads until near the end of Chairdriver or Sméagol's games. Those are the next games in line after the current two so it should be a while before we see another sign up thread. There's room for overlapping; towards the end of a game you'll only have about 8 people left alive so you could start a new game at that point. Those 8 players will only have a day or two left of that game so they shouldn't feel overwhelmed at starting another. To address Eenuh, if you don't want to sign up for a game that's fine. I don't see how people will lose interest just because there are many games going on. If you miss a game that's fine, you can play the next one. Missing one game won't make you want to miss all of them after that but if you try playing 4 at once when you don't want to then of course you will lose interest. Personally I could play 4 games at once without losing interest. --- Seeing as I am waiting, I'd like my pirate mafia to come before the heroes one. It'll be a few games before it starts (unless the people ahead of me aren't ready or don't mind me skipping) so I know I'll have it sorted by the time the sign up thread goes up.

All fair points, it's in the first post anyway. GMs can do as they please. I agree with Eenuh that it's more fun to say things in your own way.
-
I've got all roles sorted for heroes mafia and pirate mafia (but I may still tweak pirate mafia). Heroes is ready to go whenever but looks like I have such a long wait!

Ah I forgot to count MadDogs double vote
-
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA Random so funnies(!) Conveying sarcasm well enough? ;D

vote: Gmac Jonnas is back tomorrow, right? I think there's 1 more vote left to get Gmac on a majority. With my vote back on it's 8/9 I think.

Well if I see someone who's quoted their PM I still have the thought in my head that they could still be lying. It's fair enough if a GM puts that rule in place but there's still nothing stopping a player from paraphrasing anyway. It has the same effect for me. If someone makes a post that says my pm said that blah blah is evil, you don't just take it at face value. Likewise if someone made a post that says this is my pm: 'you found out that blah blah is evil', you don't just automatically accept that the person isn't lying. With the no quoting PMs rule the first post would be acceptable and the second post wouldn't but essentially it's the same information anyway.

When they're true, they often do. It wasn't an attempt as such as it wasn't planned. It was just a theory that came to me while writing the post. I'm suspicious of you not because you are of me but because of how relentlessly you've been badgering me. As I've said, I fully understand how coming out with this info so late looks suspicious but I've explained everything I can so if you still suspect me there's nothing I can do about it. Things that concern me: Cube posting that Rez was the intended victim and ignoring (or just missing) requests for an explanation Marcamillian roleblocking Rummy - why pick him when we know he's just a tracker? Rummy's night 4 PM saying that Diageo slipped away - this implies Rummy wasn't redirected to Ellmeister as he should've been. Did anyone else attempt to target Diageo on night 4? They should've come up with Ellmeister if I wasn't roleblocked or anything.

I don't see why you posted it if you're not going to explain it. withdraw vote

I did enjoy your video, it made me chuckle.

But very effective

I thought the length might be overwhelming. It's not every day that people get to see such a big one. I wasn't sure I'd be able to insert Jayseven's and Cube's into mine but I managed to squeeze them both in.

You did bring it up a couple of pages back but I totally didn't catch on to what you were specifically referring to. I didn't even realise I didn't show up as targeting MadDog until just now. I know Rummy quoted his targets a few pages back but my only excuse is that I've been viewing the thread while I was supposed to be paying attention to my lecturer at Uni, so I wasn't giving it my full attention. When I did realise, it reminded me of what was said in my role PM so I went to double check. So there's the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth. I fully understand why I'd still be suspicious but there's not really anything else I can give you except.... This may help but probably not; here are my targets for every night: Night 1 - The Peeps (Butler) and Diageo (his original character who was killed that night, he then replaced Dan-Likes-Trees. This means whoever killed Diageo had intended to kill me on night 1 - this info has been posted already Night 2 - The Peeps and Rez This is the night I died as The Butler but I suspect Aqui1a may have been roleblocked or something that night but it's all confused because Rez had targeted me I think and like 5 people ended up in the same room. Night 3 - MadDog and Diageo (I took over from Aqui1a this night so these are MY targets from now on) Night 4 - Diageo and Ellmeister Night 5 - Mr-Paul and The Peeps
-
Or MadDog targeted Diageo... and I've just explained why I don't show up as targeting MadDog.

Please don't be put off by the length, this post is intended to be used as a reference to basic rules. I've tried to segment everything to make it easier to find relevant information. As a few new people have been giving this forum a look I thought it might be useful to make a rules thread. This isn't a definitive list as different game masters (GM) may have different rules for their own games but this is a general list of how to play mafia games. Contributors: The Peeps, Jayseven, Cube Posting - You cannot edit or remove your posts. - You can't directly quote any PM you receive from the host. - No posting during the night phase - When you die you can not post in the thread. Generally one post is allowed just after you die, as long as you reveal nothing that will affect the game. - Roles (such as silencers) adjust how you can post in the thread. Be sure to check your PMs before posting* - No posting pictures

Well yes but I'd already said that (@Marc) And Cube is right, Rummy targeted Diageo and got MadDog's results which proves I did what I said. Marlene is a target switcher but it's her maids that do the actual switching which makes it harder to track my actions. Now I'm thinking, why would Jonnas add that to a townie role unless he knew there was a mafia reverse tracker... why hide info like that from a fellow townie role? This keeps Rummy in my suspicions but not more than Gmac. Also I don't think we've had a response to this question yet though it's been asked a couple of times... Cube and Rez, what makes you think Rez was the original target for the killer last night?
-
Ok I can clear this up now. I actually could've before but I misunderstood and missed some stuff. Checking the role PM Aqui1a and myself originally received - Marlene is the head maid - Marleigh was the head butler. My maids are tasked with switching the targets thus my actions are harder to track. So my PM says. I know this might look convenient/suspicious coming out with this now but I honestly didn't fully read the PM until now (as it wasn't my original role) because I only focussed on the first half which shows my original role and skimmed the latter.

Saved! Now it's funny

What if Rez got punched by the sporty guy? Boxing is a sport...

I have absolutely no idea what's going on

Rummy, the fact that you ended up with MadDog on the first night I redirected from Diageo surely shows that I redirected. I can understand your suspicion now though as it seems you didn't get a full redirection the second time (though I redirected again) - otherwise you would've come up with Ellmeister's targets. I'm not sure why you didn't get Ellmeister's targets the second time but you did get MadDog's. All I can do is reiterate that on night 4 I did target Diageo and Ellmeister. If Ellmeister didn't send in a target would that be why all you received was that Diageo 'seemed to vanish' or whatever it said? Obviously we can't ask Ell but that is perhaps the reason why. Also, Zell I am Marlene. When Aqui1a was still playing he was Marlene and I was the butler (Marleigh). We were partners and could talk outside the thread. Butler died and Aqui1a was without a pc for a few days so I took over his role.
-
I know Rummy said that someone had lied about their targets around that time and I later found out that he'd meant me. I did say (because I was trying to keep my role hidden) that I had targeted Diageo and ended up with MadDog whereas I had infact just switched the two. So perhaps Rummy meant that he knew I'd targeted them both rather than just one?

Love scrubs to bits, I thought the last season and the finale did the series justice. I'll admit the show wavered a bit during season 6/7 for me but the 8th season was hilarious. I've not watched the 9th season yet because I don't want to tarnish my memories of the series. It was a good end and I'm happy to leave it there. If I hear series 9 is really good though, I may change my mind about watching it. Initial reports do not support this though.
