  1. I want children - though I want a partner who wants children and is willing to take time off their career to look after babies. That sounds tremendously selfish but my career is very important to me, as is children. So, to fit in with that I'll have to get a partner who wants them. Me and my cousin had a long talk about this - and though love is nice and all you also need someone that will agree with the big choices you make in life.

  2. Ok, sorry for bumping and double posting but I don't want to make a new thread for a related matter.

Basically, I have been looking around for a new sound card when I thought I'd have a looky inside my computer to make sure the sound card was connected all nicely. I expected it to look like a flat card... like it should? However, when I looked I saw this:

    soundem5.jpg

Does this have any relevance to my problem? And will a flat sound card still work? (I have a free slot at the bottom)

  3. There's an app over at driverguide that can detect hardware without installed drivers. It'll tell you what your hardware is then you can search their site and find the corresponding driver.

    http://www.driverguidetoolkit.com/

Thanks Odwin, that doesn't pick up on any sound things, I suppose I'll just buy a new one, and as my Mother said "Well, we might as well get a good one if we're getting a new one at all!" So yay!

Any suggestions for good sound cards, nothing to fancy.

  4. That seems to good to be true, which means it must be.

There must be a catch or something?

I take it they make their money by people signing up and then not buying anything from them?

Edit - Tell your Uncle to watch out, the internets thinks that the bubble is going to break again soon.

Oh, don't you worry. He sold all his stock and has like £500,000 festering in the bank...

I used to look at drop shipping but never went for it. There would be no need for the sign up fee if it worked well for both you and the company, or it could atleast be cheaper. Also most members are probably selling on ebay, so there would be a lot of competition if you were to use their products.

You're better off going to boot sales or looking around cheap shops for stuff that will sell for more on ebay.

Well, if there was no sign up fee everyone could just go to the company and get the discounted things. Also, the company is providing a service and I'm sure they aren't that well off - needing to get more money all the time.

And there are no boot sales here! It's awful. Though you are very right about the competition... damn.

  5. Well, I was incredibly bored at the dinner table today as my crazed uncle went on and on about how much money he made in the stock market so I thought it would be nice to go on some crazed money making scheme.

The best I saw was this thing called drop shopping. Basically, you pay £25 to join this thing. They give you a big list of items they sell. You put it on eBay for £x and sell it. You get that money, then tell the drop shopping company who the person you sold the item to is and where they come from. They then send the item.

Seems nice and - looking at some of the items - it seems like it could easily make some cash. The site that seems nicest is http://www.dropshipper.co.uk/ - have a looky if it sounds interesting enough.

Does anyone have any experience with this kinda thing?

  6. The Apprentice

    AHHHH!!!! BEST. GAME. EVER!

I would pay £50 for a CD-I just to play that FANTASTIC game. I want, I want...

Anyway, our school had a CD-I and all we really played was The Apprentice and some western game with swearing in it. We also had Lemmings but for some reason no one played it... oh well.

I believe that was the top 100 last April, this countdown shall be different.

  8. Im really trying to enjoy it but I just cant seem to get into it like I did the first game. I will finish it but I think its going to take me a while.

Yeah, same with me - just kinda playing now and again - here and there.

Some of the story and voice acting really is embarrassing though - Mulan especially. Especially with the story and cut scenes taking up more time than actually playing the game.

  9. Got the game this morning and just finished day 6 at Twilight Town. I must say that it seems a bit to story heavy. I want some action!

I am confused by the story. Axel wasn't in #1 was he? I can't remember, that is probably my biggest problem - I can't remember #1 so I am getting confused and I am awful at listening to stories so I am more confused. Oh well..

Hope I get to some Disney lands soon...

  10. Dont become well known! A majority of people will target you and kill/rob you.

    Honestly, its happend man.

And if you wear skirts, they'l take pictures up it. Not worth it IMO.
