  1. Interesting. I heard that wasn't supposed to happen.

  3. Ah ok, global craze would have probably described it better

  5. Fingers crossed for this week. Didn't X and Y sell like 15 million copies? I don't think it's ever been irrelevant.

  7. The misunderstanding is you assuming I meant a big chunk of people playing GO will buy a 3DS, they obviously won't. The point is, some will, even if that number is 1 in 100 that's still a bonus for Nintendo. They've said themselves they're using mobile games to push people to their consoles and handhelds. To suggest that no 3DS's will be sold because of Pokemon GO is a little close minded.

  9. Obviously the majority won't be swayed to get a 3DS but even if only 1 in 100 do, that's still a big positive for Nintendo.

  11. The world seems to have stopped for this game! It's getting unbelievable buzz. I can easily see it pushing people to get a 3DS to play a proper Pokemon game. Anyone know when it's out in the UK? Keen to play

  13. I have an Oculus DK2 at home and have played it a number of times at EGX and at a mate's place, it's cool but I wouldn't say it's any way shape or form the future of gaming. I'm glad Nintendo are looking into it but I certainly don't want them to put much focus on it, especially at the moment when the cost is so high. It's a sideshow, IMO, just like it was a sideshow at E3.

  15. You mean like dual screen gaming on DS, glasses free 3D on 3DS, motion control on Wii, lag free dual screen and off TV play on Wii U, and whatever the NX's innovation is? When they innovate, people complain. When they apparently don't innovate and jump into VR people complain. It'll be years before VR is worthwhile, IMO. None of the games shown off have proved why the technology is worth the huge cost. Instead of jumping on every negative argument in the Q&A, as per usual, why not focus on the positive that they're looking into VR which as mentioned above is a welcome change of tune.

  17. Let's see how many VR units are sold and how many amazing games there are for it before we starts questioning that comment.

  19. Really can't be arsed. The argument in this thread finished ages ago, move on.

  21. Great to hear Nintendo are looking into VR for future hardware. I don't think it had a particularly strong showing at E3 (what stood out really, Batman VR, maybe X-Wing VR...?), but in a few years it could be worthwhile. The technology could do with a typically brilliant Nintendo game that shows the way (Super Mario Bros, Mario 64, Wii Sports etc)
