did anybody see the Copa Del Rey? Bizarre game of football, hopefuly this means Mourinho used up all his bad luck for the next couple of seasons.

Bit of a vicious circle really... EA keep releasing substandard ports to the Wii assuming everybody who owns a Wii is under 6 or over 96 which means nobody buys their games, then they blame poor sales for the reason they release shoddy ports. Whilst this is no doubt damaging to the Wii U, from a personal view, FIFA has until the last couple of years, always been a worse game than PES and got away with it because of the license. I loved Tiger Woods on the Wii with motion plus as it was SO realistic (miles better than the PS3 & 360 versions and proved beyond doubt that gameplay will always be more important than graphics) but EA still managed to ruin this by turning off the servers after a year and making online 2 player only later in the series, which was farcical beyond comprehension. In many ways EA mirrors the stereotypical Sony/Xbox fan who will always place graphics over everything else. I am certain that the "poor" Wii U sales (which are on par with PS3/360 over the same period) are a signal of the current state of the industry as a whole and not just Nintendo. I wonder what EA will do if after 6 months PS4 and Nextbox sales are also deemed to be too low. Nintendo are vastly wealthier than EA and should go for the jugular here and remove all EA games from DS/3DS which must be a big revenue earner. And finally let's not forget that FIFA 13 and Sims did not even work, so until EA are capable of releasing a proper, working game for Wii U then it's not a loss. They have been voted the worst company in America for a reason.

Don't be so naive of course money means success. Who are the three richest teams in the league and who wins 90+% of all the trophies available? Look at your own club stopped spending money when the stadium move kicked in and stopped winning trophies. The fact that Mancini has been sacked proves the point. The club have the best players available and therefore if they are not winning enough trophies the manager is responsible.
-
Why would I be joking? City have amassed the most expensive squad in the history of football and have under performed. I believe (as I'm sure do the City board) that there are numerous managers out there who would deliver more silverware than Mancini with the squad available. The City board know Mourinho is available this summer and may be moving to get him before he commits to Chelsea. Nobody knows what is happening behind closed doors, but if they get Mourinho then they have made a significant improvement.
-
2 trophies in three and a half years is not enough for the richest club in the world, so I think Mancini being sacked was the right/inevitable decision.
-
this must spell the end for Mancini, just hoping City don't steal Mourinho from under our noses like they did with Robinho a few seasons back. Another advert for the need for goal line technology yesterday, but it's been another season littered with some appalling officiating and in truth goal line technology just isn't enough. There has got to be some kind of appeal system put in place, much like tennis, rugby & cricket where a team can have a decision reviewed by a "2nd ref" who is in a room with tv monitors and the use of replays. Frank Lampard. The highest scoring midfielder in the Premier League and Chelsea's all time highest scorer. An unbelievable achieivment and career, but you just know that the retard that is Benitez will not start him in the Europa League Final.

Arsenal stopped being a genuine contender once the stadium move kicked in. Newcastle had one crack at it but that was years ago before the Sky riches really started to kick in and likewise with Liverpool they had one good season. The fact of the matter is the last 9 prem champions have been Man Utd x 5, Chelsea x 3 & Man City x 1 and in every year Man Utd did not win the league they were runners up, so without the Chelsea & City money Man Utd would have won the league for the last 9 seasons.
-
just to chip in here on the financial side of football. If it wasn't for Abramovich and the Arabs the Premiership would be like Scotand with Man Utd winning every season, apart from Man Utd fans does anybody really want that? Yes Chelsea and Man City have obviously benefited from the huge amounts of money poured into the clubs, but so has the Premiership in general and all the other clubs also. Firstly, the Premiership is regarded as the best and most competitive league in the world and attracts all the top players and secondly, the money that Chelsea and Man City spend on transfers benefits the selling clubs. When Chelsea paid £20+ million for SWP it wiped out half of Man City's debt at the time, likewise Charlton, Blackburn & West Ham all received massive transfer fees for players which enabled them to reduce their debts. Whether you like it not some clubs are buying clubs and some clubs are selling clubs and selling clubs quite often rely on cashing in on their best players, if the rich clubs are stopped from buying players from the poorer clubs, the rich clubs will still be rich but we will see a lot more of the poorer clubs sliding into administration and less top foreign stars coming to the Prem.

does anybody know if i can use wii points to purchase vc games on wii u?
-
oohh that's spooky
-
my family are all loving the wii u and the fact sales are slow does not diminish our enjoyment of the console. i read recently that wii u has actualy sold more units than PS3 and 360 through the same launch period. Let's be honest we all bought a wii u to play Nintendo games and we know they are coming so just enjoy the other games that are available now until the AAA's start to drop.

i want canon fodder from the SNES, loved that game, oh and boxing legends of the ring.

-
anybody online this weekend?
-
thanks for the tips. I just got the last pro controller from my local HMV for £19.99 outstanding!
-
told you buddy it's all the execution. Was not sure what was going on half the time tonight.
-
this is why I'm loving the Wii U so much. Never had PS3 and only had a 360 for a short while, so I am experiencing the best version of all these great games at great prices.
-
I have seen this is available online at Sainsburys, anybody know if they are selling in store?
-
as soon as i can track down a copy of this elusive little bugger I will be joining you all. As much as I love MK I am looking forward to a racer that doesn't stick a blue shell up your backside every time you show some driving ability.
