  1. Very high. The C-Gear also seems to utilise IR functions Actually, from what we can tell, all data is sent from the game. For example, IIRC you can use a Japanese Pokéwalker with a US game and the Pokéwalker will have the US interface
  2. The areas aren't memorable, there's way too much water and it's just generally dull RS almost knocked out my love of the franchise. FRLG kept me hanging on. DP brought my love back
  3. Everything The game felt rushed The region sucked The designs were uninspired
  4. Grumpig just sits in my head as the epitome of things wrong with Gen III
  5. There's only one Pokémon I dislike. The rest all seem to fit, but one Pokémon I despise SATAN'S PIG
  6. Just be prepared for a WarpCore Breach
  7. What's good about Doctor Who ratings is that they tend to go up by around 1 and a half million when the complete ratings are out next week
  8. Ah, but a lot of technological enhancements were caused through war which in itself is the ultimate competition...a competition of survival. I'm not saying all are, I'm saying most are, especially in the area of business in which the gaming industry dwells.
  9. Nintendo knows business. It wont be at a ridiculously high price. Chances are it'll just be at a price where they're making a small, but logical amount of profit.
  10. How is that narrow minded? It's a simple statement of human nature. Without competition, we're all fine with being content. Take my site for example, not to sound overly arrogant but for the last 7 years it has been the #1 site for Pokémon. In the first 4-5 years of that, competition was at a minimum so I didn't strive to improve anything, just continued to work on stuff. Then, 3 years ago, Bulbapedia and other sites became a bit more popular, not close to my site's level of popularity but enough to be noticed. This then was a metaphorical kick up the backside and caused me to start improving things everywhere on the site. I made new features like Pokéarth and the ItemDex, did graphical overhauls of things like the Pokédex and just did generally loads of new things to make sure people stuck to the site. If you don't have incentive, then why try something new and risk failure? Competition is human. It's natural. It's necessary. Thinking otherwise is the narrow minded viewpoint. Having a single device for all handheld games would cause this.
  11. I ended up using 40 lives on it until I managed to get my strategy sorted.
  12. He essentially thinks that all developers should develop all games for one platform only, the iPhone. He thinks the iPhone can deliver awesome games with awesome graphics and can easily beat out all competition. He does work at an Apple Re-Seller though so Yes, there are some games on the iPhone that are awesome, but it's severely limited. Take a racing game. Almost all racing games for iPhone/iPod/iPad use the motion for steering...but that's it. Some may have you tap the screen to brake but you lack control. This is why the iPhone and other apple devices aren't good for games that aren't just the little games you spend 5 mins playing then go back to living your life. For proper games, you need input options. This is the same reason why Kinect wont be as popular as MS hope and why so few developers have actually revealed proper games for it. Competition in hardware is needed. If it wasn't for that, the Wii would just have been a High Def Gamecube. The DS wouldn't have had touchscreen or a second screen. Competition allows for ideas and innovations to come. If you have everything on one platform, it stagnates and things just continue as slightly more advanced.
  13. Well, don't forget, you can always turn the 3D effects off so you can experience the games normally
  14. That was an amazing episode. I fully enjoyed it. I rewatched the whole season this past week and it's actually been really good in hindsight. Though, did anyone else get a LOST vibe when the doctor was being dragged into the Pandorica, Amy getting shot and River in the TARDIS? The music was very LOST-esque and it was slowed down slightly too
  15. Had a convo with my friend yesterday, he's a major apple fanboy and he was just going on about how the iPhone makes the 3DS and other handhelds obsolete, that people wont get one if they have an iPhone because iPhone has many awesome games on it (I've yet to see one, I also brought up the control issue with the iPhone which he just ignored). Yes, the iPhone is popular, but he fails to recognise that the DS has sold around 100 million units and the iPhone, while selling 50 million units, many of them have since been replaced with higher units so earlier iPhones shouldn't be counted He seems to think that everything should be on one device...I hate people that think like that, it's stuff that's awesome in theory, but in application is down right retarded. I hate narrow-mindedness :/
  16. Hilariously, if we were getting Gen I Pokémon now for the first time, we'd get the same complaints.
  17. I've heard that complaint so many times for so many Pokémon
  18. I think so
  19. The final ever star in the game was incredibly tricky at first, until I worked out a methodology, then I did it in one go lol
  20. Watched the finale. It was amazing. That was one of the best season finales of Stargate
  21. Nintendo has won my heart once more
  22. Wow. Just. Wow. That's the most moronic thing I have seen anyone ever say and I run a Pokémon chatroom & forums.
  23. I dunno where this one came from...it's nowhere on Nintendo's sites or press kits, unlike the others
  24. How do graphics not look better? 3DS games can't be played on the normal DS. It's the equivilant of asking if a GBA game can be played on a GBC
