  1. I know I'd get GTAV on the Wii U if it came out. Seriously, late ports are not a good thing, nor a good sign of if the console is doing well. People who want the game will already have it
  2. 1 year old port of a 7 year old game fails on flailing console. I AM STUNNED
  3. Na, you'll be getting one. It's not like mine
  4. I dunno, I got two activation codes... Seems people on GAF have this issue, too. You're actually fine though, that's how it's meant to look
  5. Basically, a rundown of what happened 9am: I ordered Pokémon Rumble U standalone from their site. No code given once order complete 10:30am: Contacted GAME's support. They said that they couldn't generate a code for me, so are cancelling that order and refunding it (if they don't do this, I'll be pissed. I don't want to pay for this game thrice). They advised me to make another order 11:15: After hearing from a friend of mine that the special edition sends the download code instantly, I ordered the Special Edition. However, somehow the checkout added a second Rumble U to it (not a second special edition, an actual other copy) despite my basket just having the Special Edition (and its free Download Code). As such, I bought the special edition with its download code, and a whole other copy. Currently, on my credit card, there's technically 3 copies of the game sitting there. One will be refunded. This is how my order page looks, if people aren't getting it
  6. Seriously, I'm confused as to how GAME's system screwed up and I got two copies lol
  7. When a release date is the 31st of a month, that means it's a placeholder
  8. It's just frustrating if it comes after the eShop update :/ I need to get localisations up. I wouldn't have done it if I knew this was going to happen Contacted GAME, they refunded my original order and suggested I redo it. I did, but for some reason when I reordered (I went Special Edition because my friend told me they get the code straight out), they added another to it after I ordered so I got a second copy. Selling it to a friend of mine lol
  9. No idea. Bought the download code on GAME, but they haven't sent it yet...if it comes after the eShop puts it up, I'm screwed -_- With every other game, it has been sent instantly...
  10. Just called and they don't have it in store
  11. Would assume so. Calling mine when they open at 9 since I need the Kyurem figure
  12. I have all the figures already. All I'm going to do is call GAME up this morning to see if they have it since all I need is the Kyurem figure :p
  13. Ahead of its release in Europe today, the UK retailer GAME has announced that they will sell the figures for £3.99 each. This confirms that all 18 figures match the ones in Japan and that there are the three shiny figures of Pikachu, Genesect and Eevee. In addition to this, GAME have announced a special edition of the game for sale for £19.99 which includes a poster, a figure and a special bonus Black Kyurem or White Kyurem figure. They also have a download code. Not sure if it's live now
  14. Only word we've got is that they removed all mention to it on the official sites in Europe, and made no mention of it in the Nintendo Direct
  15. It's the same complaint as to when people want control over the Pokémon in battle. People forget that we're playing as the Pokémon Trainer and are issuing commands to the Pokémon, and not playing the Pokémon itself @Fierce_LiNk Your idea does have some merit, but again there's nothing that screams "I should be on the home console rather than a handheld" in it other than the visuals.
  16. Not if the company goes under
  17. Yes, but Pokémon as a concept is designed around being on a handheld. That's the thing you're missing. It's different to the Mario games.
  18. Google prioritises wikis. I have no control over that, and it sucks (especially considering the atrocities those have done). Despite that, I still get much more traffic. Hell, I had almost 1 million unique visitors on Thursday. Normally I don't reach those heights. The problem is that you're misunderstanding the social aspect. It's not just the battling/trading. It's the taking it with you to meet and battle with your friends. I get that people in America and Europe struggle to get this since they have been indoctrinated by Microsoft's "online is better" philosophy, but when you look at Japan and see how Pokémon is there, you will see that a home console game just wouldn't work. I wouldn't mind a cool home console game. All I'm saying is that it'd lose what makes Pokémon Pokémon. All of the stuff you suggested is doable on a handheld, afterall, (especially Miiverse once that's on the 3DS), so why deprive that market of it?
  19. Then if you're suggesting a spin-off, then that's fine as there are countless others. However, one with the mechanics of the main games. No. I have explained countless times why Pokémon is popular and the core aspect of that is the social aspect. Without that, Pokémon would be a footnote in gaming history. Sorry but losing the social aspect is a massive issue with it. You really do underestimate the power of it. I just don't see the benefits that outweigh removing the social aspect. All I can see it having is sharper graphics. Please. Bulba is not "catching up". Yes, its existence stopped me being complacent and thus I created things like my Item Database, Pokéarth and updated the table aesthetics, but I would never remove the core aspect of the site. There's evolving, and then there's suicide. The fact is, GameFreak have said it's not happening, so it's not going to happen.
  20. It's not that I'm incapable of imagining it, it's that I know this franchise so well I know it can't work.
  21. Todays picture
  22. This "game" has to be played on a table. If the gyroscope detects any movement, the game screams at you.
  23. Didn't do an unboxing video, but did take a photo of this unholy sized thing
  24. Yeah, but a massive portion of the players are young. They shouldn't remove a feature just to cater towards the smaller, older crowd. Putting it on a home console would just cut the features that help it appeal to the good chunk of its userbase. It's not worth it, there are ZERO benefits to being on a home console now. Wii U may have a sense of portability, but it isn't portable That would be illogical. Why do that when you could just have it on a portable console, with all the features it'd have on the home console, and more
  25. Stay relevant? It's as popular, if not moreso, than it has been since it was a fad. It has never stopped being relevant, and nor will it. It also has a number of different styles of games, many of which are on home consoles. All I'm saying is that main games will not be on any console other than handheld. GameFreak have said as much so it needs to be accepted.
