  1. Why do you think we never got it? :p
  2. It's clearly going to be Hey You, Pikachu! seeing as there's a microphone in the GamePad. Come on, guys.
  3. Just ramp the difficulty up
  4. Pic of the day. Here's the place you equip powers for Smash Run. Pack a good mix of them like a lunch box, and off you go! You can change how your powers are set up by touching their icons and dragging them. If you hit the X Button, it will randomly fill up the remaining weight allowance with powers. You can keep changing the line-up as many times as you please. The level of a power is proportional to its strength, number of uses, and weight. Organizing them might be easier if you label your favorite powers with a ★.
  5. Yeah it does, but the game takes a slight graphical hit in order to do it.
  6. Your friend is mistaken. Not all Dynasty Warriors games, even recently, have online co-op
  7. Speculation. If Team Ninja & Omega Force wanted to put online in it, it'd be in it. Contrary to belief, Nintendo doesn't "hate" online and they don't shoot it down.
  8. Can't blame Nintendo for this one :p ======= Girahim
  9. Pic of the day. Here's Beat! And Plant Barrier!! These are some of Mega Man's custom special moves. You might also be able to use some signature boss-like moves from the Mega Man series, too.
  10. Did you read the actual quote or did you just look to the headline? Read it again then come back
  11. Do note that the PS3 isn't getting it either, so logically it's not just the Wii U getting a "slap in the face".
  12. Why? Reggie presides over Nintendo of America. Gamescom is a European event, ergo it falls to Nintendo of Europe. We are due a wide Direct and there has been one each August since the inception, so I'd say it's likely Was start of August last year but end of it the year before. My money is on this week. They could get around Iwata's recovery by just animating him in a way that befits one of the games being covered and having him voice record. They've done it before.
  13. Thing is, the reason Nintendo's software is great is partly because of the fact they build it around their console and build the console around their games. There's a symbiosis involved and that would be lost if they went to develop for another console. Plus a multitude of financial factors which would result in downsizing and huge layoffs which would affect quality, too. Third party situation is a bad one that does need to be resolved, but first party wise, Nintendo aren't suddenly doing diminished amounts of games and certainly not diminished quantity. I do agree that there may not be room for a third console, but I don't think Nintendo should be the one to bow out, nor do I believe they will be. Microsoft and Sony have such similar boxes that are different only in OS and superficial spec numbers, and there's so much crossover in content that it is utterly ridiculous. If there are to be multiple platforms on the market, then there should be differences between them. If there was a third, near-identical x86 based console, with similar specs, it would be a bad thing in my view. My money is on Microsoft exiting.
  14. And how often to big announcements come out from them? Very rarely. Just minor things I firmly believe it's not the place of a platform holder to reveal and go on about third party games as specifically as they have been in recent years. It's the third partys job.
  15. I believe it's the name of the tournaments they're holding there
  16. Well here's a fact. Nintendo Directs have been in August the last couple of years. Here's another fact, Nintendo have announced the content they're showing at Gamescom. Here's another fact, they are in no way responsible for your negligence in not paying attention to that news. A conference is pointless to it in the long run. It in no way is indicative of what is or is not actually at Gamescom. Sony and Microsoft just rely on this because they don't disseminate information in any other manner. Nintendo does, more frequently too. Also, pray tell, how much first party content was actually revealed in the two conferences yesterday? Here's some images of the Nintendo area from when it opened up today btw: It's not all of a sudden. It's what Iwata said back in 2012 when asked about the Nintendo Directs. He's constantly being misquoted and mistranslated by the western press, and games etc. keep getting ignored, so they made the Nintendo Direct concept to deliver information directly to us. Floor wasn't open yesterday. Floor opened today for the press and tomorrow for the public.
  17. I love how we're all talking about the 3DS XL and there is like almost no acknowledgement of Meta Knight :p
  18. Their games schedule is fine. I just took issue with the belief that people, including yourself, say Nintendo "didn't bother" with Gamescom because they lack games. The same crap that was around because of E3 and it's the exact same crap now as then, with people saying "they have no conference, so they have no presence and nothing to show" Nintendo DO take Gamescom seriously and have a very large presence there. Just because they don't make a ridiculously over the top press conference like the other two does not mean they don't take things seriously. Nintendo prefers to reveal news their way rather than pander to the press, who then twist the reports to suit their agenda, or even ignore games. This is why Nintendo created Nintendo Directs, because the press suck at providing Nintendo news. Believe it or not, Gamescom and E3 are NOT about the press conferences, they are about the content on the show floor.
  19. Or it may be the case that Nintendo have never touched Gamescom, conference wise, and are only ever there showing demos. Even Sony didn't really start paying it attention until like last year or the year before. It has nothing to do with them having "nothing to show".
  20. All 3DS XL models are like this...
  21. Look who's back Pic of the day. "Looks like there was an impostor in the earlier posts, so I introduced him to my sword!" ...I'll leave it up to your imagination if he really said that or not. The veteran hero, Meta Knight, returns to battle!! We didn't forget the Battleship Halberd either!! Meta Knight's Up Special Move, Shuttle Loop, changed quite a bit in this game. The glide is gone, and the attack slashes opponents twice while spinning in a large loop. This has turned into a highly technical and effective move.
  22. Pic of the day. If you manage to raise this Special Flag for long enough, an additional KO count will be added to your score in a time match, or you'll get an extra stock for a stock match. When this appears on the stage, the fight for the flag becomes a fierce battle of tactics, which makes things pretty interesting.
