  1. NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams

I really cant wait for the E3 to see this is motion. Im praying they dont destroy the good name of NiGHTS with this release as the original is/was fantastic.
  2. The Darkness

Heres a quick achievement guide that I put together from other people on various boards and some of my own stuff. It isnt all of them just the ones that need some explaining/guides. Cannibal:- Just eat 300 hearts in the game. Should be easy enough even without the sidequests Fashionable:- Get all of the outfits in the game here are the locations. Jungle Outfit: After you get past the first helicopter part (after you first meet butcher) go through the pool hall. After you exit the pool hall you should be in a place were there is a bum who asks for money and you can also ask him about dutch oven harry. Now there is a door on the LEFT wall, above it is a vent that you can send the creeping dark through. Go in there and you will see a hole in the vent. You can't miss the hole. Anyways go down into the room were there is a collectible and the jungle outfit known as the machete outfit. Broken sword: Broken Sword one is in Chinatown. As soon as you get out of the subway. Walk straight up the stairs and continue straight. It's right there. Fireman: Grinder's Lane in the 261 room where you kill the snitch. Saw: Help the girl at the subway station (forget which one). She complains about being locked out of her apartment by her boyfriend. You go to her apartment and it's there (directions are given). Sledgehammer: The last guy on Vinny's list. By Shrote's apartment entrance. The open window with the guy who's monitoring him. It's in there on the wall to the right. Jackhammer: Going to City hall, in the abandoned subway car before you get to the Turkish baths. Bringing People Together:- You have to get 5 people into a black hole. To do this the best thing is to wait til th efinal level and when you attack Paulies mansion throw a block hole near the doorway after you go up the steps. It may take a few times but just wait for enemies to gather around that area and then throw away. Gunslinger:- You have to kill 7 enemies in 15 seconds. Just do it in the area that I mentioned above. Darkness Master,Executioner,Rogue Killer,Void Bringer,Gunner,Ripper:- Just kill so many enemies using the different Darkness powers. All you have to do is do as Guyfromsparks described. Find an area with many enemies, kill them all using the way you want leave 1 to kill you and then reapeat. Roadkill:- The most annoying achievement in the game. When you first start the game and get the cutscene where you are driving in the car, when you are able to shoot you have to kill around 6 workmen as you are driving. If you dont get it just reload the checkpoint again, but you have to watch the cutscene all over again. Another tip is to go into options and put the auto aim on the controls all the way up. Romantic:- Easy as pie. When Jenny asks you tyo sit with her at the beginning of the game, do it! It takes a couple of mins but you get the achievement. Ghandi:- When trying to get into Dutch Oven Harrys place ask the Tramp on the street for the password then go to the door and tell them it. Once inside put away all your weapons and then go talk to the guy whos on th ephone in the building. Once your achievement appears then feel free to unleash hell. Anti Air:- Once you get the brif case in the Turkish Baths the SWAT team will attack you, you can hear the helicopter so just throw a Black Hole in the middle of the area ( you will see what I mean ) and you bring the helicopter down and get the achievement. Take a Look at the Sky:- When you go back to Hell you will be on the gun of a Tank, just shoot down 6 planes that attack you, do it before you crash and if you dont get it then just restart the checkpoint. Heart of Gold:- For this you need to do all of the sidequest in the game. Note: Do not kill the bum in Trinity Cemetery, he has a side quest in Chapter5 Chapter 1 1. George Hadel, on the stairs that exit to Chinatown – Wants his Harmonica back, go back in to the station and turn right, talk to Compton Scarr. Go back to George and he will sing to you, and u will complete this side quest. 2. Ingrid Pulanski, Fulton St – She lost her bracelet, it’s pretty close to where she is stood, on her side of the track under the platform. 3. Charlene Warburton, Fulton St – Dares you to pick up 4 coins from the track, pretty easy, get on to the track before she throws and just run around like a n00b tapping A. Chapter 3 (after H3ll Pt.1) 4. Jimmy the Grape, Canal St – After u get back from H3ll, walk over to Jimmy to get your next objective, then talk to him again and he will give you a side quest, go to Grinders Lane and look for an open apartment block (next to a yellow cab/car), and locate Room 261. Once u’ve kill the snitch, go back to Jimmy. 5. Terence Willis, Canal St – Go to Lower East Side Whitefish pool hall and kill the 5 member gang, then go back and talk to him, he will also give you a hint as to beat the Cup & Ball game. 6. Lucas Hillinger, Canal St – After getting the hint off Willis, go round the corner, talk to Lucas and select Distract Him, then Accept the game, the ball should be put under the now marked cup, then select middle. 7. Dana Cutrone, Canal St – She wants you to get her keys from her boyfriend in Chinatown, near Jenny’s apartment, afterwards go back and give her the key. 8. George Hadel, Canal St – Scarr stole his harmonica, go and retrieve it from him at Lower East Side near the entrance to Pier 19. 9. Mitch Deval, Fulton St – He is trying to find his brother, you kill him when your in City Hall, when u get back from getting the brief case, talk to him to finish his quest. 10. Vinny Mortarello, Fulton St – Gives you hits to do: a. A thug stalking Aunt Sarah Lower East Side b. Kill the goon on Grinders Lane near the meat packers c. Leader of a gang, near Aunt Sarah’s in Lower East Side d. Drug dealer in Chinatown near the station exit e. Guy watching Shrote at Gun Hill, as your looking at Shrotes apartment, but still in the alleyway, turn right and look at the 2nd floor window, it’s a open window near an extractor unit, Creeping Dark will do the trick. Chapter 4 (H3ll Pt.2) 11. Charlie Hazelgrove – At the end of a tunnel from the village, just before u go up a ladder to the tank ride with Anthony. He will give you a msg and a locket to give to his wife in Fulton St. She is close to where Vinny was hunched up. Chapter 5 (You wake up in front of the Orphanage) 12. Little Petey Terrone – Wants you to deliver a message to a guy wearing a red hat in Canal St. near the Chinatown exit, stood in front of a vending machine. 13. Alfred Blackmoore – Landlord for the girl u helped earlier, he is standing very close to the exit in to Chinatown, in a white jumper with the number 10 on it. Get his keys back and go speak to him to complete it (the apartment u kicked that guy out of). 14. Enzo Scardina, Canal St – As your going to Trinity Cemetery he is in the hallway just before the ticket desk. He wants you to take a suitcase to Fulton St and switch it with another, the guy is stood near a information point. 15. Frank Rottenberg, Trinity Cemetery – He is the bum from the toilets at the beginning of the game. He needs his medicine from the toilets, u can either find a way to jump over the wall, or use Creeping Dark…its on the corner of the table, opposite the urinals. I think thats all of the hard achievemnets apart from the collector ones. Enjoy.
  3. Zelda WW vs Zelda TP vs OoT

Im sure you can get all of them on your first play through, thats what I did.
  4. Ok, so I thought I would give Flinkys suggestion a try and start a topic which will hopefully get some good responses. So, in June Nintendo gave us Mario Strikers which was the first online game for our Wii consoles. At first I was very pleased with it all as it was great to play against some of you guys. The tournament created by Shadow was fun for me and it was great reading everyones little stories about victory and defeat but something was missing from these little conversations. After thinking about it it was clear that despite being online the game didnt feel like an online game at all. Let me explain.... Having been an owner of the original Xbox and a current owner of the 360 I can tell you what online gaming should be like IMO. Its about meeting up with new people and friends and sharing experiences, whether it is playing a co-op game or shooting someone point blank range in the face with a shotgun. You can do this on Mario Strikers you say, well the fact is you really cant. Sure at the end of the matches you can go on the internet and discuss your games and how you played but what about doing it while in the match itself? Without this feature the game kind of feels lifeless despite playing against other people, you might as well be facing the A.I. What makes the 360 experience a great one is the fact that you can interact with the people you are playing with and as such it adds to the experience of the game itself. You can really see the difference in conversations in the 360 thread compared to the Mario Strikers one. Sure both topics have their funny moments but the 360 topic usually hits on a personal level with many jokes and phrases used in the topic that were said while playing with each other. Nintendo has got the multiplayer gaming down to an art when it comes to playing with close friends and family in the same room but they are still a mile away when trying to allow you to play online games. Im really hoping that they sort the talking issue out in their games. I really dont want to think about playing Brawl without a headset as half the fun in these games, especially when playing with friends, is trash talking while playing. Do you think that Nintendo have got it right in terms of the social element of the Wii or are they focused too much on the people in the same room as you? End of my rant, your thoughts peeps.
  5. Nintendo TV advertising...Your thoughts

I have to say that I hate that Nicole Kidman advert, just too corny for me. I admit that I do prefer Microsofts way of advertising. The Gears of War trailer that hit last year was amazing. It showed the games graphics while at the same time being beautifully directed and thats what I like to see from videogame adverts. I hate all of this messing with your mind rubbish that Sony started doing. The PS3 adverts are some of the worst I have ever seen. I remember when they showed the This is Living advert at the cinema and me and my mates, aswell as people around us, all said "What the hell was that?!!" It just didnt make sense.

  7. Super Smash Bros. Brawl (Spoilers Topic)

Not playable at E3!? What a joke, its like one of the biggest titles this year and people want to play the thing. If nothing is said about it in terms of new characters or at least a new trailer I wont be a happy man.
  8. Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition

I just got 5 star rankings on every level with Leon, Hunk and Krauser this morning. Doing Krausers levels with the wiimote is stupidly easy with the wiimote, headshots FTW!

  12. Super Smash Bros. Brawl (Spoilers Topic)

Im the same mate. Rumours were going around that Roy got dropped from this version of Smash though. Can anyone confirm this or is it still just a rumour? I hope he still in as I used him alot.
  13. Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition

I started Mecenaries this morning before I went to work, man I love that game. Got me a 5 star ranking straight away as I remember most of the routes to take from the Cube version. Im not going to play Pro mode until I have unlocked all the weapons and Ashleys armour.
  14. Super Paper Mario

Is that official? Thats freaking sweet!
  15. Mario Party 8

  19. The E3 2007 Anticipation Thread

Yeah I remember that! They could have remodelled it and made it compatible with Miis.
  20. Super Smash Bros. Brawl (Spoilers Topic)

This sounds amazing. Just think of all the characters possabilities now! *starts drooling*
  21. The E3 2007 Anticipation Thread

I was thinking about some of the games that will be shown and I completely forgot about NiGHTS. Im really hoping they nail the controls for this game, I dont want the good name of NiGHTS to get dragged through the mud.
  22. Eternal Sonata

I just read on Gamecentral this morning that Eternal Sontana only lasted 1 week in the Japanese charts, Microsoft just cant catch a break over there.
  23. The E3 2007 Anticipation Thread

LMBO. How in the hell did I miss that!? *hangs head at own disgust*
  24. Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition

All done! I forgot how sucky the ending is for this game. Now time to unleash hell in Mercenaries!
  25. Zelda WW vs Zelda TP vs OoT

I think what Cube is getting at is the fact that you had to change wind directions by playing a song. I think he has mentioned it before, or maybe someone else did, that Nintendo should have made like a magic sail or something near the end of the game which constantly allowed your boat to move around with relying on the wind direction. I admit it did bother me at first but once I got used to it I was fine, plus the Overworld music made it a joy to sail around.
