  1. @Hero\-of\-Time Did you collect all the memories before finishing the game? I've just completed it, that castle music was awesome.
  2. Who was the dude who was a dude but was a woman or TV or something like that? He was always a laugh then I think she got banned for something! Showing my age here again I think, if been around for a while.... Infact I think I remember @King_V s first post about being nervous about losing his virginity?! Listen guys, it's a forum and we all have different opinions. Don't take things to heart, we are all too old and wise for drama aren't we?! On topic - I really like the switch. As a handheld it's grown on me and I can easily see me grabbing all of the first party games and system exclusives. For multi platform though I think it will be PS4 unless the Nintendo online is something special. Also I quite like trophies, it gives me something to aim for if I really like a game. I will be buying Stardew Valley when it's released though, will be amazing to have it on a handheld!
  3. Just finished the Rito beast, yeah... that was easy. Like 15 minutes from start to finish. Had a lot of fun though! Almost at the Goron beast now, I noticed that I'm actually missing a few zones. Other than Zeldas memories am I missing anything by skipping them?
  4. Well, games like Minecraft have breakable weapons in them. And don't get me wrong, I think it's a great game and I'm having a lot of fun with it but I don't think it's genre defining or anything close to that. I also have to echo @Hero\-of\-Time and question certain areas for being 'big for the sake of being big' like a huge mountain expanse and on the top is a single Korok seed... I actually think it would have benefited from the map being maybe 2/3 of its current size!
  5. Loving hearing everyone's opinions. My initial thought when I started playing was that Shadows of Mordor, Infamous Second Son and ARK had a baby. I also think it's the best Zelda they have done, but don't like it as much as OoT. With OoT it was fresh and new, I remember renting it from global videos and being amazed. BoTW is a fantastic game in its own right, but, as many have said it actually steps away from the Zelda formula a little too much like it's trying too hard to keep up with all the new games. The problem is that every idea here has already been done and in most cases, actually been done better. The climbing, the open world, the towers, the weapons etc Games have come along way since this was in development. Got to disagree on the dungeons though, I actually found the two I have finished to be quite difficult and the Camel boss was a freaking nightmare! Maybe it's my old age and I'm just not that good anymore! I think all the little niggles I have with the game could be fixed (Whoever mentioned the cooking... prime example! What a pain when you need loads of food!) but it's still a great game. I think we have just been spoiled with all the new greats coming out on an almost monthly basis! Kind of hope they go back to 'Zelda formula' next this isn't hitting the nostalgia in the nuts hard enough!
  6. @Blade I'm just looking to get some discussion in regards to people's view of the game after a few days. I'm enjoying it immensely, but I'm now looking forward to getting it finished and seeing the rest of the story. Very similar to GTAV in that at the start I wanted to 100% it, then I just wanted to get it done!
  7. Well.... it's my genuine feelings for the game. I'm just wondering what other people opinions are!
  8. So. Looking around the forum I see a lot of people talking about this game pointing out its apparent greatness and the obvious flaws. I see the reviews, everyone saying it's a masterpiece and it gaining 10/10 reviews pretty much across the board. I'd like to hear people's honest reviews. I'm about to say something completely contradictory to itself but; Is it the best Zelda game ever created? Yes. So it's better than OoT? .... No....
  9. I still think the game is fantastic, I just feel like some things are there to slow you down from finishing too fast. I'm struggling to find shrines even with the sensor, im only at 24 shrines. I need 1 more heart container to get the.... sword and was going to do the Korok trial until I had to stealth behind 1 to get there, it just felt pointless. Anyway, I'll be finishing up the divine beasts this week and then heading to the castle. I can't see me dipping back in after the end credits though.
  10. The frustration when you have to light blue torches but can't because it's raining for 20 minutes....
  11. This rain is pissing me right off. Whoever thought this was a good idea should be tied to a chair and forced to watch the super mario bros movie over and over again.
  12. Jesus Christ. I don't recommend doing the gerudo divine beast early on. It's the second "dungeon" I did, I was tearing my hair out by the end. That boss was very very tough. The puzzles feel very Zelda to me in fact, that dungeon reminded me of the water temple a little. Having a little break now and then need to start finding shrines. I've only done 20 or so.
  13. I put on the official screen protector thing and it now has a huge scratch down the right side of the console, on the black rim :/
  14. What sort of equipment do you unlock later on? I have the blue link top, currently wearing knights armour which upgraded takes me to 21 defence. Got some 38 attack weapons too. Just wondering how much stronger I can get and if it makes things any easier!
  15. That's quick @Hero\-of\-Time ! I'm just trying to get to the Zora Domain at the minute. Ran into some huge ogre thing and:
  16. I was playing with the pro controller, flipped it upside down and avoided the entire maze 😂
  17. I have it too. It's not great. I remember the original bomberman being quite tight with the controls but it seems quite slow and difficult to get around the walls. Not worth £40+, maybe £12.99 download or something.
  18. Yeah we had a quick go on it today, it's good fun. Should have been bundled with the console though....
  19. Bless the wife, she's ordered Bomberman, a carry case, another plug and 1-2 switch because I refused to pay any more
  20. Will the power bank charge this? I have multiple of those! When I get a new phone it usually comes with a case and screen protector (Mainly because it's a company phone) and I never said the game was a hidden extra, just something to take into account. I disagree about the pro controller being optional. Having to use the joy-con's with Zelda on the TV would have ruined the experience for me. It really is a must have.
  21. Just wanted to give my very quick review of the actual Console; What. The. Fuck. These Joy-cons are beyond useless. Far to small for my hands. It's ok on handheld with the switch out of dock, it just about gets away with it. But when you put it in the switch grip thing, it's hideous. The layout is wrong, it's too fiddly it just doesn't feel right to me. The pro controller however is fantastic. The switch lives up to its gimmick well, you can grab the tablet itself out of the dock and pick up exactly where you left off, the display is bright and crisp. Remember the hidden extras with this. If you want to not mess around with the dock you need another £25 plug to charge it in hand held mode. It's another £30 to be able to charge kit Kat-cons while in use. It's another £65 for a controller you can realistically use. Oh and then £20 for a case and screen protector. Then you realise that there's actually really only Zelda worth it, that's another £50. You just paid £420 to play the new Zelda. You can get a PS4 with Horizon for £200 today. Worst thing is, not even sorry I'd pay the £420 again just for this Zelda.
  22. @Hero\-of\-Time Have you left the plateau yet? I'm 2 hours in, have done 3 shrines so far and found quite a few Zelda style secrets.
