I find the acting, albeit very far from Oscar-winning quality, is definitely a lot better than in Episode II and III. I think Episode III was the only prequel film where I genuinely cringed at some of the dialogue and how it was acted out *shudder*

All I wanna know is when the fuck is Wii Party out? I don't care what you pansies say, that game is gonna rock! And I may get the Eye of a Golden nature - although that may involve me having to buy more controllers (unless it uses GC pads....does it?)

Desert island, top five most memorable breakups

I like how this is a "top five" - I haven't even had five girlfriends to break up with! -

I would dude but I'm a bit tied up with uni work at the moment so can't really pay much attention to it. Next time

I thought it was kinda cool! Although it's not exactly a war...just 4 animals fighting an onslaught of shit!

I fixed this for you!

Now now family, can't we all get along? The point is, nothing beats Nintendo 64!
-
I suppose you're right...but I've got like 35 or so N64 games to fully work my way through...just wanted to get the big one out of the way! Lol!

Mainly because none of what is shown on the cover actually happens in game! Because it's awesome...plus Ville would be disappointed if I didn't post something Goemon-related!

I'm sorry but there is only one true Golden Controller! Every time I use mine I feel better about my pathetic existence. That and I crack out some awesome headshots!

Exactly! Pulling some overdone cattle in a club is not fun. And why oh why did you start this thread, now everyone's gonna have a fucking moan (like certain individuals would in HWYD). Be positive! You're gonna get that girl in the end! And if not, try your luck with men or become an objectophile.

Started playing this again with the intention of finally completing the bugger - got around 20 bananas at the mo. It's certainly a good game and there's some nice aspects. For one, it's very big on exploration and the levels are quite massive. However, the worlds seem so uninspired and there's no ambience or charm. I always liked the weapons and instruments but it does kinda suck that everyone follows the same format. Like some shoulda got instruments, some should got weapons, some shoulda got X amount of powers. Everyone too similar really. Just my two cents!

Yes, yes I so agree! And you so beat me to posting these! No fair!!! :P

Bullshit was it! There were some great third-party efforts on N64, there just wasn't much third-party support with regards to the number of games. Top efforts that come to mind are: - The ISS series - Mystical Ninja Starring Goemon games - Body Harvest - Space Station: Silicon Valley - Beetle Adventure Racing! - Battletanx: Global Assault - Rainbow Six - Star Wars: Rogue Squadron - Star Wars: Battle for Naboo - Snowboard Kids I'm by no means saying these are the best games ever but a lot of effort was put into making them. Rogue Squadron and Battle for Naboo are the best examples, Factor 5 did a ton of researching and shit to push the 64 to the limits (the only others capable of doing so being Nintendo and Rare). And third-parties can't be blamed for abandoning the 64, if I had the choice between 650MB storage for my games or a mere 64MB at most, and at far greater cost, I know what I'd go for!

As some of the forumites will know, I've recently started (well restarted) collecting Nintendo 64 consoles, controllers, games and accessories. My new goal in life is own absolutely everything Nintendo 64! On a minor sidenote if you have some N64 stuff you don't want anymore, I will pay good monies for it (check out my thread here). So anyway, back on topic, do you collect anything? If so, what is it, how long have you been collecting it, how big is your collection (don't need to be specific) and most important of all, why do you collect it?!? (pleasure, financial gain, some wild dream of running a museum?) As I already said, I collect Nintendo 64 stuff. I only really started "collecting" in the fanatical sense about a year ago when I had a hankering to play some old classics while at uni. My collection isn't particularly large at the moment but it's steadily growing! I collect Nintendo 64 stuff purely because I loved the console so much as a kid and now I have the urge to possess all the items related to it (especially the Japanese only stuff, it's kinda mystical!). Share your thoughts my pretties!

You should all be watching Boston Legal. It is quite literally the greatest show ever made. This I command!

Video Game Care 101: Looking after your old disks and cartridges
Pookiablo posted a topic in General Gaming Discussion
I've recently began investing a lot of time and money into obtaining old Nintendo 64 games and in most cases, I've had to pick up my items second-hand. Now, sometimes these items, as with anything that has already been used, can come in a condition that is less than ideal. So, after a little looking on the Internet, I came across this great , short video that gives a brief guide of how to clean your games. The demonstrator uses a Nintendo 64 cartridge in the the demo but I'm sure the same can be applied to SNES/MD and possibly even NES games. The only part I wasn't too familiar with was the whole "Magic Eraser". I recognise the dude on the packaging but does such an item exist in the UK? Anyway, this could be a great thread for discussion with regards to cleaning and maintaining older gaming items. If anyone has any great tips, advice or info for cleaning controllers, consoles and accessories, share your thoughts! -
Video Game Care 101: Looking after your old disks and cartridges

If people are looking to open up their retro consoles (basically anything pre-Gamecube I believe) - you should buy one of these! It's called a Gamebit, and it comes in two sizes, a 3.8mm head and a 4.5mm head, the first being for opening up game cartridges and the second for consoles. On the Nintendo 64 (and SNES and even Mega Drive I believe) - there's some security screws on the bottom which have a funny shaped head - this bad boy will open 'em up! I was able to remove the top off of my newest N64 and fix the reset button (it had jammed). A worthwhile investment as I now intend to open all my consoles and give them a good clean! You can buy 'em off ebay for a tenner (that's with a handle) or about £5 for just the bits! If you'd like me to clean your console for you (just pay the postage to and from), I will do it for you (it's great practice!). PM me if so! -
Hey guys, recently wrote an article semi-related to this (on the depiction of terrorism in video games) and would appreciate if you could read it and perhaps share some of your thoughts! You don't need to login in order to post comments and all I ask is that you keep your views as unoffensive as possible! http://thegamingenigma.wordpress.com/2010/08/06/the-depiction-of-terrorism-in-video-games-where-should-we-tow-the-line/

"Mario Party is definitely in danger of being less poignant." Thank fuck - the series has been going down the toilet since Mario Party 4! Something new is fine with me!
