Well, no, at the moment I have...nothing. I had a usb mic but that's been disconnected for about a week due to me taking my computer out to a friend's for a bit. I have 4 recording devices listed included Stereo Mix(others being FrontMic, Microphone and Line In) all four listed as being Realtek High Definition Audio. The latter 3 are all 'Not Plugged In' and Stereo Mix is disabled, it won't do anything when I try to enable the bloody thing and I don't know why!

Funny, I was going to point out that as much as people are saying there AREN'T issues, there's equally as many saying there are and so I was taking no sides, then I thought people might realise that without me saying and so unneccessary, clearly not the case. 360 and RROD? Did they occur this commonly within what...6 months? Is it such an obvious/common thing? This isn't a hardware issue from the sounds of things, this is bad and ill thought out physical design/construction[/i]. A plastic casing is not the same as a cpu/gpu/wiiu/whateveru chip. I expect better. This is a relatively new product on the market, I shouldn't have to pay attention to people 'saying they've had no problems' over people saying they have, it's a new product to market, there should be no problems within at least 12 months. The fact it can be having/developing these issues so early on, makes me worry about the life of the console I am planning to invest in and whether there's going to be OTHER issues within the first 2-3 years of my ownership if not even sooner. So I'm terribly sorry, but I'm not going to apologise or feel like some sort of dick for expecting a decent quality product out of something that is going to cost me in excess of £100-150 base. Not even to mention something built on the Nintendo name. I really WANT to buy a 3DS, but stuff like this puts me off. It also makes me feel more like they'll bring out a re-design, most likely touted with second circle pad whilst subtley implementing simultaneous fixes to these existing problems. Tell me I'm ignoring people who, shock horror, have a decent product but DON'T ignore the people who, actually shockingly, bought something 6 months ago and already have noticed major issues/design flaws in the product. Do you honestly think that's acceptable? Add on top that it apparently affects the intended experience of the system, do you really think that's acceptable? I'd also like to add, this isn't even just me taking idle chatter or rumour, this is from people we know whose opinions I actually trust and value, and the reason why I'm asking here on N-E. Just because you have a fine system and point it out doesn't mean I'm putting your word as any less, just that that is the way the product should be.

So, seems I'm once again knobbed about by sound issues. This time I'm trying to enable stereo mix so I can record an audio clip in audacity from a video I have and then cut it down to what I want etcetc I'm on Windows 7 and in recording devices and I've got disabled and disconnected devices shown and stereo mix is like 1 of 4 options, the other 3 are 'not plugged in' and stereo mix is disabled but when I try and click and enable it....nothing happens. Whyyyyyyyyyy, my googling so far just seems to turn up people not having a stereo mix option and so I'd assume my hardware can do it but it won't and it hates me and this makes me sad

This sounds....appalling, actually. Is/has there been any sort of official line from Nintendo? I don't even know that many people with a system otherwise I'd get their opinion and maybe have a look myself too. I can't say I ever noticed 'wobble' with my original DS, except in its later days literally just a few weeks before the hinge break(retrospective noticing, too), so for this new console to be on the market with this actually occuring, it puts me off somewhat, especially if it's affecting actual gameplay features like some of you mention.

Zelda totally kills Dumbledore.

Tbf if it ain't basmati it ain't worth touching imo. Such tasty rice!

It doesn't really do either. Mainly talks about the controls, some basic game structure, but overall it keeps it rather vague without mentioning anything too specific. It might mention an item or two briefly, more in a frame of reference than anything else, and in the case that it does it's usually something you're already expecting. Same goes for that of enemies. Honestly, I think it's a relatively good spoiler-friendly review, and with just three and a half weeks away don't think it'll do you more harm than any trailers. There's some pictures(I copied and pasted it into word and read it from there, I swear it copied some pics/thumbs I didn't notice before). However seeing people already upset by what others have posted then maybe it isn't for you. On the whole I'd say it's a fantastic review, 10/10. Giving it the first 10 that I've ever given a review.

Godammit, why is it always me
-
Well that would be a difficult one to answer! What do you consider mild? :P
-
Well, I read the online Edge review as I thought it wouldn't be too bad, and I'd say it isn't, really. For those who don't mind the mildest of spoilers, it's pretty good. Definitely has me more hyped up for the game!

@Jonnas, y u no update?
-
Oh, ok, thanks for that! I've gone back into the mechonis' butt anyhow, would just like to express how much I'm liking the track they've got for this place. EDIT: Got it, doesn't start to get into it til about 30 seconds, but there's something really nice about this tune; Audio

Well, maybe I'm on the wrong thing. She asked aaages ago specifically for shulk so I shulked out spoke to her and she got me to fix her watch so I did and returned and she was all like 'oh thanks you're hawt' and I was like yeah whatevs and now when I talk to her(with shulk or anyone) she just says something about moving somewhere? Maybe she has to give me another quest, but how do I get that! I'm 4 stars affinity with Colony 9 now.

So I went back to it finally, and I'm a bit hooked again I think I need some help though...
-
Sounds like a plan for now then. Shame there's two large design flaws in the console, I'd be worried seeing these early on given the hinge breaks that plagued the DSes before(eventually striking down my phat sometime last year). I imagine I will get one eventually, I just can't help but worry the longer I leave it the closer I'll end up with one near to a redesign, which I foresee given these problems, the thumbstick attachment, and the already surprisingly low price. All guesswork, of course.
-
Only really when you cook one, @mummy.
-
I've not seen any spoilers, but I wouldn't mind some mild ones to get me hankering for this. Strange that Dante says Nintendo are really pushing the marketing on it though, I haven't caught the slightest about it anywhere.

Were two of those only 3 not the best selling titles on the system and two pretty awesome games? SM64 and MK64? Seems the 3DS still needs some time to take off, so maybe I'll wait til new year. Just hope they don't actually bring a system redesign next year! Btw I've heard about the scratching issues, how common is that and are there any other known ones atm? I saw Agent Gibbs's post that said about the scratches but he also mentioned some sort of screen wobble too?
-
So...it's going to be really cool, later? I was thinking that might be the case. Tbh I'm only particularly interested in OoT, SM3DSLand and possibly Tales of the Abyss so far, reserving judgement on Mario Kart til it comes out and reviews etc.
-
That's pretty raw. Yet somehow typical Nintendo.

For the first time in ages, I've nothing to go to So I'm gonna turn all the lights out and hide in my room quietly playing Xenoblade.

Beautiful moment. Didn't know it was the same story guy either. There is always something...eerie about LA? I don't know what or how they managed to capture its atmosphere, but it all felt a little...like I shouldn't have been there, doing what I was doing. I realize that's a major story part, but I genuinely felt like it when I played the game. Then again I also did a lot of glitching, so maybe I shouldn't have been there doing what I was doing :p Did someone say the same guy was doing story for this?
-
So, 3DS owners, how would you convince me to get a console at the moment? I'm thinking to in future, I just still feel like I need more. Are you all enjoying/getting lots out of it?
-
Glad to see it being cracked down on, game related night talking really irks me, even if it's expressions of shock.
-
All out of thanks, but I think I agree with most of your points. I've said it before, for a game that introduced some truly awesome items, it just did not make them...usable? enough. Maybe after I finish SS I might go back and play TP again, see how I judge it 5 years later. Pretty good, except for knowledge of an item that's supposed to be in it, I'm doing pretty well! Keep nearly accidentally reading stuff but I'm getting over that bit of idiocy.
