Yeah running very slow for me. I've owned the Mass Effect trilogy games on Xbox 360, PS3, PS4/5 and now PC.

I'll ask this in here. Can you not get Xenoblade 1 anymore unless it's used or digital?

I ended up double dipping on Mass Effect Legendary Edition. Just something about that series that makes it so I can play it over and over again without getting bored. Installing it now on the Ally.

If I remember right quite a few members of the dev team for 16 were from 14s so it kind of makes sense with parts of it feeling like MMO filler missions. 14 as well had some amazing highs.

Grabbed The Super Mario Bros Movie and TMNT Mutant Mayhem in this week's iTunes sale so those should be good to watch over Christmas with my niece and nephew (immediately after buying Mario I saw that it was one of this week's Sky Cinema premieres ). Haven't seen either of them yet so looking forward to it myself, TMNT especially just looks gorgeous.

Why does the Street Fighter II anime movie seem to not be available for streaming anywhere dammit??? I'm gonna have to go dig out my old dvd now you've put me in the mood for shower Chun-Li....I mean fighting goodness.

I had hit that point as well which was probably why I took a break. I think it's supposed to pick up again but I was definitely in a lull when I stopped.

I really miss when Steam Sales were a massive event. Having to pay attention daily for new discounts, sometimes every 4 hours for the flash sales. These days I check on the first day, maybe get one game but leave the rest because I can probably find it cheaper elsewhere and never check back again.

I'm assuming the Steam winter sale will start tonight. Might have to take a look at my wishlist and see what'll be worth getting for the Ally.

Nah, games like Witcher 3 use the open world brilliantly. The entire place feels alive and you stumble across people living their lives, interesting stories etc. It's why I had so much of a problem with Breath of the Wild's open world, because I'd only just played Witcher 3 and it felt empty in comparison.

Yeah the quality of them isn't great. Just make sure if you skip any to still do the ones with a + sign next to them as they're the key items ones.

One thing I appreciated, at least for the first half of the game is that it doesn't overwhelm you wide side quests. You tend to get 1 or 2 new ones pop up after main story missions so I was always happy to get those done before moving onto the next part of the story.

I think it's great but I do hope if it did get used more it doesn't become a crutch. I do think in 16 they already didn't explain some aspects of the world as well as they should have because they knew people could just read up on it using that.

Now I guess my final question for you guys is, should I be going back and playing 1 and 2 first? I've read that its perfectly fine to start with 3 and how it's the best one and there are no issues with story but as a lore guy, should I really be seeing this world from the very beginning? I have tried 1 before (I think I still own that Wii version with the red controller somewhere) and didn't necessarily get hooked enough to carry on past the first hour but I think it's possible.

Yeah that was why I was hoping it would be the same in-store. Game now charge something like £4.99 shipping though I think so it doesn't work out any cheaper than if I use one of the quicker places.

I was going to try and buy it in town yesterday but it's a lot harder to buy games there than it used to be so no luck. I'll just order it online later.

Just finished watching Godzilla Minus One myself. I'll also post some proper thoughts later but I can absolutely say I loved it. Massive smile on my face anytime the classic Godzilla music hit!

Yeah I like the look of the first one a lot less. The new style for Second Story R is the big draw for me.

I'm thinking maybe Xenoblade Chronicles 3. There's always Sea of Stars as I never bought that on another platform yet I guess and possibly that Star Ocean The Second Story R I loved the look of but wasn't convinced by the combat in the demo.
