  1. Between the agonising last few minutes and extra time in the England match and this first 45 between Spain and Georgia being so end-to-end... ...anyone else a bit knackered?
  2. GRRM seems to be teasing that the long speculated about Elden Ring TV/film may well be in the works. Was just saying to a friend the other day that Shadow of the Erdtree has answered some questions from the base game, but completely dodged others (so far for where I'm at, anyways). It would be an understatement to say there have been some major revelations in terms of the lore of the base game. With From having bought the rights to Elden Ring from Bandai Namco earlier in the year, I'd love to see a spin-off or tie-in rather than a full-on adaptation of what we've already seen. From having an evergreen project (or multiple) on the side in the form of supplementary material for Elden Ring which goes beyond the typical graphic novel we've seen from them in the past makes too much sense to me. Would love for it to be a CGI project on the level of their trailers, and I'd take an anime project if not that. It'd be expensive and take time, but I don't think live-action could even begin to do the world of Elden Ring and its lore justice in the way their tone-setting trailers often successfully hint at.
  3. It's been coming. 1-1, great equaliser from Rodri. But still... there'll be more goals to come yet
  4. Georgia attacked after scoring and going ahead! Someone ask Southgate – is that legal?
  5. GEORGIA AHEAD, AND WHAT A BEAUT OF AN ATTACK THAT IS! AFTER BEING PINNED BACK FOR 17 MINUTES WITH NO RELIEF! This is going to be a good one. You just know there are more goals to come
  6. 10 minutes of Georgia riding out a Spanish onslaught. Successfully so far... 87% possession of passing it forwards/in the final third, 3 shots, loads of flair. This Spain team are a lot of fun to watch
  7. Wait, does this mean it's our turn? Me when we're about to subject the rest of the continent to at least one more match of Southgate ball:
  8. So lucky, so fortunate, so everything right now. Right then, time for Spain and Georgia to show us what a good football match looks like. Still stand by this. Not only if we lost to the Swiss is it going to be "oh well they beat Italy and held Germany", but England turning this around has now given Southgate free reign to delay his subs into the eleventh hour once again, a lesson he should have learned after the Italy final in 2021 at the very latest.
  9. Think they've just given the kick-off time for the Spain v Georgia match in local time – it kicks off in half an hour at 20:00 BST, not 21:00 like they've just said. Yup. Even after the chaos of this match and being so lucky to get ourselves into a winning position, we refuse to kill it off.
  10. Giving himself an out in case this all goes tits up after clawing it back
  11. Definitely. I think Kane needs a striking partner in the national team. He can't get the second bounce or challenge for every ball AND be the one in the perfect spot for a 9 like him to finish. Toney or Watkins chasing and Kane finding the right spot to support from, while also allowing Kane to occasionally drop and play it over like he does and keeping someone central, would work. So basically...4-2-2-2, which is a glorified 4-4-2
  12. How did they just confuse Palmer for Bellingham at the end there? Swear the ITV coverage is a closeted Specsavers ad.
  13. Oh boy, get in lads Can't wait for everyone to get carried away after this match Was going to say, watch us win 3-1 or 4-1 after ET
  14. Made a deal with the devil in 2016, offering us up for Brexit. Then he sacrificed our practically immortal Queen for this. It's the only explanation. Nah, he's a terrible commentator. He adds nothing to the matches he talks over. Bellingham absolutely hasn't been at his best this tournament or today, but a good commentator would say that AND acknowledge that he's been fighting tooth and nail in this match, far more than anyone else on the pitch, to win the ball and move forwards. Dixon talks about Bellingham's frustration like it's a bad thing but he's just fought for the ball for 90+ minutes, half of it being dragged back or down onto the floor.
  15. Stfu Lee Dixon, saying he's not been at his best. Been on the floor and scrapping for the ball more than everyone else on the pitch combined. NOW MAKE THE FUCKING SUBS GARETH I SWEAR TO CTHULHU
  16. Of course it was him. Bellingham you beaut.
  17. Slovakia have made more subs than us. THEY'RE WINNING THE MATCH, GARETH. THEY'RE WINNING AND THEY'RE THE ONES MAKING SUBS. This is going to be a nuclear fallout we're about to see.
  18. One sub now. COME. ON. Might as well just quote the match thread from the 2020/21 Euros final. This is insanity.
  19. Great shot from Rice, unlucky on the bounce from Kane. Still no shot on target from England.
  20. I'm so lost here watching this. If I'm one of those players on the pitch right now I'm screaming at the top of my lungs for Gareth to make some subs.
  21. Aye, I thought he was harsh with some but thought that being harsh was maybe as a result of that past backlash. Overcompensating a bit. I don't think it would change this particular game, but there's been a clear bias in terms of these yellows so far.
  22. Didn't want to say it early on with how many yellows we got in the opening 20, but Slovakia have had a pass on at least three obvious yellow cards. Terrible ref. Lmao at Saka at LB
  23. Lee Dixon is blind as a bat. Just said the Slovakian player got a touch, alternate angle showed he clearly didn't. Same for goalkeepers getting a touch, slight deflections, etc. He's not normally good at commentating to begin with, but now he's blind too?!
  24. Definitely. Felt to me like there was a beat where Trippier decided to square it instead of shoot, and Foden should've dropped but decided to go forward. Such a strange decision.
  25. I'm guessing after some of the weird linesmanship we've seen the last few rounds he decided to trust the semi-automated offside (which obviously he shouldn't, but while not blatantly bad the refereeing in this match so far has been...interesting), which seemed to take an age. We've just been let off. This is crazy.
