Dyson and Happenstance do you know what happened on Week 7!!! Haden United 1-0 Battlestar Odwinica United strengthened their title credentials with a hard fought home victory against Odwinica. Both teams lined up with a 4-4-2 set up but United seemed to have the edge in the first half with 3 chances to 1. Uniteds goalie was injured during Odwinicas sole chance but it was their youth one so it was good for United when their experience keeper came on. Future star midfielder Shimal hooked in a corner for Marconossi to volley home, the goal that proved to be the decider. It was a tactical match rather than a thriller but United won't complain and will gladly take the 3 points. Essex Elites 1-1 Edd Kirby Athletic Athletic kept their unbeaten streak alive with a great draw against the Elites. Both teams played a 4-4-2 set up in what was a game of two halves. Kirby seemed to have the measure of the Elites in the first half as they went 1-0 up via a Mortimer header from a Hill cross. However the Elites came bounding out in the 2nd half making 5 chances but Bain seemed to be equal to whatever the Elites threw at him. However with two minutes left a high cross delivered by Merton was slammed in by O Connor who headed it almost out of the hands of Bain who made a rare mistake. For the Elites they will be disappointed with a home draw but can hardly complain against this great Athletic side. Roostophe Rovers 4-1 Happenstance FC Rovers looked devastating as they took the sword to a poor looking Happenstance. Rovers went for Happenstance with a 3-4-3 formation while Happenstance came out with a 4-4-2. It only took 5 minutes for Sheldon to curl in a great long range effort to put Rovers into the lead. Tartara hadn't scored before this game this season but headed one in on 19 minutes then broke away from Happenstances defense to score on 31 minutes. A minute into the 2nd half, Sheldon hit in a free kick that Tartara toe poked in to make it 4-0. Curtis hit a sweetly struck long range shot to give Happenstance a consolation goal but that was the only bright point for Happenstance. Rovers had 5 chances and scored 4 looking scary every time they came forward. Happenstance need a change quickly if they want to stay in this league. Bayern Bru 5-0 Dysonian Wanderers Bru got a massive title push as they demolished Wanderers in an action packed game. Bru played 3-5-2 against a 3-4-3 Wanderers set up. 3 goals from corners, a header and shot from Lindpere and header from MacCalman gave Bru a 3-0 lead by the 22nd minute. On the 40th minute Lindpere scored via a direct free kick that flew into the top right hand corner. At the end of the first half Bru had pounded Wanderers making 12 chances to 1 and could have been ahead by double figures! Some of Wanderers players came out looking like they had been physically attacked by their manager. A blunder by Wanderers defense gave MacCalman a penalty to slot away making it 5-0. However on the 76th minute Spiritio found his way outside the box going for a ball that Brus goalie went for, the goalie hacked Spiritio down and was given a straight red. Rundberg came off so a youth goalie could come on, miraculously Wanderers goalie already on a yellow for time wasting was given a 2nd yellow for an altercation with a Bru fan who he took exception to! Wanderes also had to haul off a outfield player and bring on a new goalie, incredible scenes! Anyway Bru got the win and a huge boost in confidence while Wanderers are now in relegation trouble. Mcoys Sons 2-0 Silverdale Hotpot The Sons wait for a win was finally over as they beat Silverdale 2-0. The Sons played with a 4-4-2 line up as did Silverdale. The Sons looked more impressive in most areas of the pitch and created 8 chances to only 3 for Silverdale. The breakthrough came when Curtis delivered a great cross for Jevons to head in. The captain Heckinbottom caused trouble in the 2nd half when he found Rufus in the box who lost his marker and hit home a shot in off the post. The Sons looked very relieved at the end of the match, they deserved to win but now need a string of wins to push forward. Silverdale will be disappointed but will look forward to the return game. Most Important Result – Bayern Bru 5-0 Dysonian Wanderers, Bru prove their title credentials. Turned on Style – Bayern Bru, 14 chances and 5 goals against the current champions amazing! Player of the Day – Kunder Lindpere, the striker proves his worth with a great hat trick.

Yeh that sounds like a great idea! If you would like to do it next season feel free would be very fun.

Drop everything and Read the allegory to another Xpert Story, Week 6 Battlestar Odwinica 2-1 Bayern Bru Odwinica secured a good home win against tough opposition in Bru. Odwinica played a 4-4-2 against a counter attacking 5-3-2 Bru. The first half was very quiet with only 1 chance as the sides felt each other out. MacCalman struck for Bru with a header that bounced in off the post to put Bru ahead. Bru tried to hold out but a superb Bello set up Tygesen to curl in a beauty of a long range shot. 3 minutes later Odwinica struck a knock out blow as Sherawat fed Oy a great through ball, he took it past the goalie to make it 2-1. Odwinica closed Bru down after this and took the 3 points. Bru will be disappointed but on the balance of it Odwinica deserved the victory, Bru only had 1 chance to 4 for Odwinica. Edd Kirby Athletic 2-2 Mcoys Sons Athletic and the Sons drew in a blistering match that was high in drama and entertainment. Athletic stuck with their normal 4-4-2 formation while the Sons went for an aggressive 4-3-3 set up. The Sons looked good from the start even after Fitzgerald was badly injured. Before the half closed Athletic came under more and more pressure, Heckingbottom was in blistering form and set up Curtis for a long range shot and then Rufus for a tap in to make it 2-0. The Sons maintained their attacking efforts in the 2nd half but Athletic began to counter them knowing they needed goals fast. On the 72nd minute Tonser crossed it in for Hill to score with a great diving header. However the Sons kept attacking and midfielder Brailey was sent off for Athletic after a 2nd yellow card trying to stop a Sons attack with a barge. It looked like the Sons would wrap up a much needed famous win, however McKenna with a minute to go whipped in a corner that Saeys headed in to rapturous scenes from the home fans. The Sons fought for their lives and made 8 chances to only 4 for Athletic. However it shows the spirit of this team and why they are at the top of the table that they salvaged a draw with 10 men. Happenstance FC 1-0 Silverdale Hotpot Happenstance earned their first win of the season against fellow promoted side Silverdale. Both teams played 4-4-2 but it was Happenstance with 8 chances to 4 that looked more inventive. It was only a great performance by Lacey that kept Silverdale in the game after the first half, he saved 5 chances. Silverdale had a youth striker on and failed to make an impact, with 9 minutes left Happenstances efforts paid off as Curtis whipped in a ball for Falco to blast home. Happenstance fans let out a cheer of relief! Is it to late to kick start their campaign? For Silverdale they wished they would have hung on for a valuable away point. Roostophe Rovers 3-3 Haden United N.W.O vs Nexus was on the agenda here as Rovers battled United to a great draw. Rovers played an aggressive 3-4-3 against an equally attacking 4-3-3 from United. Weesle struck first for United with a header before Froberg headed one in for Rovers to make it 1-1. Mazzoleni in the 2nd half was the next one with a headed goal to give the hosts the lead, before even more headers just before the end from Weesle and Marconossi swung the lead back to United! But it was guess what? A header! That got Rovers the draw when Mazzoleni found the back of the net a second time with a diving header to make it 3-3. A captivating match were air power seemed to win out, United will be pleased with the away draw the neutral will have been pleased to watch this match. Dysonian Wanderers 0-3 Essex Elites The Elites are many peoples dark horse choice for the championship this season and results like this show why. Wanderers played 3-5-2 against a standard Elites 4-4-2 set up. Wanderers were it has to be said awful, they made 0 chances as they tested several youngsters who failed to impress. Their has often been a discussion about the lack of a good youth system in this team and this match may highlight those concerns. The Elites made 7 chances as they looked superior in every area of the pitch. Fakaj scored with a long range effort, then Pollard supplied Cotino with a headed goal before the captain Hooke sealed the game with a blistering long range drive. It was everything the Elites deserved and a worrying game for Wanderers fans. Most Important Result – Dysonian Wanderers 0-3 Essex Elites, the Elites get a great away win against a sub par Wanderers side. Turned on Style – Essex Elites, their win was effortless and full of creativity. Player of the Day – Jez Heckinbottom, Mcoys Sons, the veteran controlled the midfield to help earn the Sons a vital point.

This season is slightly longer to! Well for top two leagues anyway. After the double things will start to get very dramatic hopefully. This season is slightly longer to! Well for top two leagues anyway. After the double things will start to get very dramatic hopefully. Actually is it longer? Maybe its the same length as noone misses a game.

Week 5 I bring the report You get to see You bring the talent It's ecstacy Silverdale Hotpot 3-2 Roostophe Rovers Silverdale where given some hope today when midfielder Hope bagged a hat trick against Rovers. Silverdale stuck to a 4-4-2 set up against a 3-4-3 Rovers side. Froberg headed Rovers into the lead after a mere 30 seconds to send Silverdales fans heads down. However Hope after 16 minutes smacked in a shot from the 6 yard box to make it 1-1. Hope was booked 3 minutes later for getting in the face of a Rovers player he seemed fired up! Again Hope was at the center of things when he muscled past Rovers defense and again hit another close range shot to make it 2-1! Ri Rho another new Rovers youth set up Mortimer to make it 2-2 in the 2nd half. However it was Silverdale with double the chances in the 2nd half that looked eager to win the game. Yet again they were unable to stop Hope, who pushed away his marker and slammed in his hat trick off the bar from 10 yards. He went screaming to the Silverdale fans who were delirious with joy. This was only the 3rd time these teams have met and Silverdales 2nd triumph, one that was badly needed to restore some hope to this team. For Rovers they need to start grinding out some results. Haden United 1-0 Bayern Bru After last seasons failure to beat Bru United went into this match knowing it was crucial, the two title contenders had a close battle that United won in a controversial manner. United lined up with a very aggressive 3-4-3 formation debuting new striker Toraman against a counter attacking 5-3-2 from Bru. It must be said the match was rather dull for the most part. Bru fell back trying to catch United on the break but got bogged down themselves when they tried to launch an attack. It seemed to be heading for a 0-0 draw as United failed to make the most of their chances and Bru failed to have any chances. With 2 minutes to go new striker Toraman held the ball up on the box and turned into youth Bru defender Colliemore, their shoulders hit and Toraman went down. The ref awarded a penalty! The Bru bench went absolutely mental, old legend Brusling ran onto the pitch to remonstrate with the ref(to cheers from United fans), the opposite managers shouted at each other and players clashed but the penalty stood. Durov came up and smashed it into the top right hand corner without hesitation. 1-0 to United but Bru will be geared for revenge in the return leg. Essex Elites 1-1 Battlestar Odwinica Odwinica held the Elites to a draw in a feisty match. Elites played with a 4-3-3 formation against a 4-4-2 set up for Odwinica. Tygesen shows hes ready to prove Odwinica can score more than just free kicks when he broke away from the Elites defense and beat their goalie one on one. In the 2nd half the Elites began to get back into the game and Brammer launched in a corner for Cotino to power home with a great header. Both teams became frustrated as hardly any chances were created and veteran Odwinica defender Bergfors was sent off for a second bookable offense just before the end of the match. However the Elites failed to take advantage and it ended in a stalemate. It was another good point for Odwinica but a chance lost for the Elites. Mcoys Sons 1-3 Dysonian Wanderers Sons may be hitting the panic button after a bad away loss to the Wanderers. The Sons played a 3-5-2 set up against a risky 3-4-3 Wanderers formation. It was a classic combo for Wanderers that started things off as Stenholm swung a corner in for Sandford to volley home. After a healthy 3 chances each the sides headed in for the half time whistle, when they came back the Sons looked well up for it pushing forward and forcing the undermanned Wanderers into a mistake. Stenholm rushing back to help hit it into his own net making it 1-1. However a mere 6 minutes later Spirito curled in a free kick that Boland attached his foot onto to restore Wanderers lead. At this point Wanderers were looking far more dangerous than the Sons and creating just as many chances with 1 less midfielder. A Spirito header sealed the win and pushed them up the table while leaving the Sons rooted to the bottom. Edd Kirby Athletic 1-1 Happenstance FC The two promoted sides met today with an early sending off and a late goal costing high flying Athletic from gaining all 3 points. Athletic lined up with a 4-4-2 against an aggressive 4-3-3 Happenstance side. The first half of this match descended into a very bad tempered affair as the two sides met again in the top league after being promoted together. Three Happenstance players were cautioned and Baldry an Athletic midfielder was given a straight red. In the 2nd half both teams had more success with their chances and on the 68th minute a Hill cross to McKenna saw the striker head the ball in to give Athletic the lead. A wonderful achievement considering they were missing a midfielder! Happenstance looked in desperate straights and their fans began to boo their players but out of nowhere youth striker Dibbler with 6 minutes to go hit home a fantastic long range effort to make it 1-1. Athletic had no response and it ended in a draw. For Athletic ill discipline cost them badly but for Happenstance while this was a welcome point should they have really got all 3? Most Important Result – Mcoys Sons 1-3 Dysonian Wanderers, great away win for Wanderers but really bad news for the Sons. Turned on Style – Silverdale Hotpot, 8 chances and 3 goals against Rovers secured them a much needed win. Player of the Day – Clifford Hope, Silverdale Hotpot, his hat trick inspired his team to their first win of the season!

I dunno how many times you have lost the annual VIP comp we have at the end of the season! You got nominated loads one season I remember.

Week 4 4-2 Bru will be in the title race this season! And its over Wanderers is the champ! "Lets just go ahead and take Brusling out of the equation, bam hes a non factor. The fact is Dyson you got the title and I want it" "Bru I have been waiting this season your bald headed double studded candy ass team belongs to us" Silverdale Hotpot 2-2 Edd Kirby Athletic Silverdale nearly became the first side to beat Athletic until they staged a 2nd half comeback. Silverdale looked to dominate midfield with a 3-5-2 formation against a balanced 4-4-2 Kirby side. The two promoted sides have had vastly different fortunes in the league so far. However it looked good for Silverdale early on, early pressure caused an Athletic own goal after 2 minutes. Just before half time Hardings crossed it in for Webster to head in, at this point Silverdale were 2-0 up and had made 6 chances to just 2 for Athletic. Who knows what the Athletic boss said to his team in the break but they seemed determined not to go home losers. In the 2nd half Athletic had 5 chances against 1 for Silverdale, Tonser curled home a free kick for his first goal of the season to make it 2-1. Brailey carried on his impressive season with an assist to McKenna who smashed home a long range shot. Silverdale were on the ropes and Athletic seemed the more likely to win the game. Caskey was badly injured for Silverdale with minutes to go a big blow for Silverdale. In the end it was a draw and Silverdale may be thankful for that, Athletic looked like they could have won it but will be pleased to keep their unbeaten record alive. Bayern Bru 4-2 Roostophe Rovers Bayern Bru secured an impressive and important win against Rovers. Bru played a 3-4-3 formation against Rovers 4-4-2, the first half vindicated Brus aggressive approach. MacCalman lofted in a great cross that Testini headed into the back of the net for the first goal. Lindpere hit in a direct free kick as Bru piled on the pressure, minutes later Dahlin fed Helder a ball that he smacked into the bottom right hand corner to make it 3-0 before half time. Rovers came out fired up in the 2nd half and made numerous chances, Mazzoleni curled in a nice long shot to make it 3-1. However with 15 minutes left Helder scored his 2nd, a well timed volley and killed the game off. With moments left new midfielder Su Yu set Haspolatli free to score a consolation goal for the visitors. For Bru this was a truimph of style and aggressive play that shows their potential to be champions this season. For Rovers it was a set back but some young players made their mark. Battlestar Odwinica 1-0 Mcoys Sons Odwinica poured more misery onto the Sons with a 1-0 victory at home. Odwinica played a 4-4-2 against a possession orientated 4-5-1 Sons line up. The match was a very quiet one as both teams creative forces in midfield and attack failed to shine. However Odwinica had an early chance when they were given a penalty, however their forward Bello who has yet to score this season blasted it over the bar. In the 2nd half the Sons captain Heckinbottom was injured and had to be replaced, with only 3 chances a piece it looked like it would end as a draw. However in extra time Howarth launched a free kick into the box that Bergfors half volleyed home for his first ever Odwinica goal. Sons were devastated they thought they had done enough but their ill discipline cost them. For Odwinica its a great 3 points that they will use to keep momentum heading their way. Essex Elites 1-1 Haden United United earned a valuable away point against a well disciplined Elites side. United and Elites drew both their games last season, both teams played cautiously with a 4-4-2 set up. United however burst ahead when Eveleens floated a ball in for Marconossi to stab home with a directed toe poke. The rest of the half was quiet with several United players picking up yellow cards. The Elites team came out in the 2nd half and quickened the pace, Greenacre scored only his 4th goal in over 100 matches for Elites when he guided home a inswining corner to make it 1-1. Elites were on top making more chances but Uniteds solid defense held them back. Neither team was at their best, it would be fair to say United looked better but Elites seemed to be well ordered apart from their strikers who were disorganized. Stubbs who played poorly for the Elites in attack was sold shortly after this match. It is probably a point both teams would settle for. Dysonian Wanderers 5-0 Happenstance FC The Wanderers reawakened their title defense by demolishing a mediocre Happenstance side. Wanderers set up with an aggressive 3-4-3 formation against what turned out to be a directionless 4-4-2 set up from Happenstance. Arber set Twigg up for the headed goal first, before the captain Dunwell coolly converted a penalty to make it 2-0. Arber scored with his own header on 38 minutes then two minutes later Segar blasted home a long range shot. Injuries to Unsworth and Harford compounded Happenstances problems but luckly for them they only conceded one in the 2nd half, a Twigg header again set up by Arber. Dysonism fully deserved the 3 points, Happenstance will have to start relying on home form if this is how they play away. Most Important Result – Bayern Bru 4-2 Roostophe Rovers, a great statement of intent by Bru. Turned on Style – Dysonian Wanderers, they looked immense in attack today. Player of the Day – Tyson Arber, Dysonian Wanderers, two assists and a goal from the in form midfielder.

Round 3 In a league where everyone will kick and scream You play different formations and come to the same conclusion every time Time to realise that transfer didn't suit the team There was always a question hanging over you Other teams looking down from a hot air balloon with a rusty nail Your looking over your shoulder and setting sail Haden United 2-0 Mcoys Sons It was another all Nexus affair for United and another they won 2-0. United played an aggressive 4-3-3 against the Sons 4-4-2 formation. The first half was very quiet with the Sons having the only chance of the entire half. However in the 2nd half the momentum swung drastically to United with 5 chances to 0. This was intensified when Sons captain Heckinbottom was taken off injured. With 10 minutes to go United talisman Marconossi made the breakthrough volleying in a cross from a corner to make it 1-0. A direct Durov free kick with 4 minutes to go sealed the points. It was an important and deserved win for United while the Sons really need to kick start their season quickly. Roostophe Rovers 1-2 Edd Kirby Athletic With this result both Dysonism and Rovers have now fallen to Athletic in home games in an amazing turn of events. Rovers played a 4-4-2 which Athletic also adopted, the fact that they had the same formation makes this win even more remarkable. Things started off well for Rovers as Fowler pinged in a close range shot after 3 minutes to make it 1-0 to the home side. On 9 minutes Digby was injured and subbed for a youth causing Rovers to lose some experience in midfield. However they still had more possession and went into the break with the lead. After the break a Saeys corner kick was toe poked in by 18 year old forward Wiegersma who celebrated wildly. With minutes left to go Athletic looked the more likely to score and did!The captain Tynan latched onto a set piece delivery, chested it down and volleyed it home emphatically to make it 2-1 to the visitors. The traveling support let loose a huge roar, 3 wins out of 3! Rovers looked shell shocked for Athletic the dream carries on. Happenstance FC 1-1 Battlestar Odwinica Happenstance and Odwinica had a draw that saw Odwinica dominate chances and possession. Happenstance played a cautious 5-3-2 against a normal looking 4-4-2 for Odwinica. For the majority of the game Odwinicas 4 man midfield dominated possession and chances against a poor looking 3 man set up for Happenstance. Happenstance held out against Odwinica pressure as Odwinicas young forwards struggled against 5 defenders. However after 8 chances Odwinica found a breakthrough via a Howarth direct free kick, Odwinicas lack of goal scoring forwards is a concern it would seem. However they seemed to have sealed the win until the youth forward Dibbler headed a Melton cross in off the bar. The home crowd let out a huge cheer as Happenstance secured their first point of the season, for Odwinica the game was their's for the taking if they would have had the forwards to convert it. Bayern Bru 2-2 Essex Elites It has been 6 meetings since Bru beat the Elites in a game and the Elites kept the record going in a dramatic game that ended in a draw. Bru played 4-4-2 against an aggressive 4-3-3 Elites set up, Bru looked very impressive in the first half notching up 5 chances but failed to convert any. 13 minutes after the restart youth striker Alnoudji wrapped his foot around the ball perfectly to send it shooting into the right hand corner and give Bru the lead. 7 minutes later Heinze combined with MacCalman floating a ball in for him to head home. However Elites responded instantly, Sharpe crossed in a corner that Fakaj volleyed home so powerfully it nearly burst out the other side of the net. The momentum was on Elites side now as Bru retreated from attacking, with 7 minutes left Bru defender Darbyshire was judged to have held up play and given a 2nd yellow card. The Bru bench went mental, amidst the chaos Sharpe ran down the sideline crossed the ball in for Stubbs to head past a statue like Bru goalie. On balance the result was a fair one but Bru will be gutted they lost out on a famous victory agianst their biggest rivals. The Elites will look forward to the return game after this drama! Silverdale Hotpot 1-3 Dysonian Wanderers Silverdale face another setback as they lost to a resurgent Wanderers, Silverdale played 4-4-2 against Wanderers possession orientated 3-5-2 set up. The first half was a temperamental one with 5 yellow cards an injury to Silverdales best defender and a penalty for the Wanderers that Dunwell blasted in. It wasn't all bad for Silverdale, as Sidwell linked up to set up Jerome for a tap in just before half time to make it 1-1. However with the earlier mention of Hardings Silverdales best defender having to come off the pitch, Wanderers had the advantage in the 2nd half. Their defense and midfield were playing their socks off and when Boland scored via a header in the 67th minute it seemed to be game over for Silverdale. The under pressure Silverdale defense then scored an own goal quite literally when Morrow put the ball in his own net with a wayward header. Silverdale were unlucky that Hardings got injured but Wanderers looked very impressive and deserved the win. Most Important Result – Roostophe Rovers 1-2 Edd Kirby Athletic, this team just doesn't stop shocking the report! Turned on Style – Haden United, looked devastating in attack. Player of the Day – Eliot Sharpe, Essex Elites with his 2 assists he ensured his teams unbeaten streak against Bru carries on. I am on holiday atm so have a little more time on my hands. If any team wants to do an interview any league PM me. Roostophe feel free to do some of your own if you want/have time if not dw thanks for the great reports!

You have hired to many members your group has become unstable soon they will arrive!
-
We can't seem to best each other at the moment can we! Your side has really come on I think you are better now than when you were as champions a few seasons back. To Mcoy, Nexus and everyone else in the league knows you are a sleeping giant ready to wake. Don't give up!

It’s so loud Inside anyone facing Kirbys head With tactics that they should have said! As they drown in their regrets They can’t take back the playmaker they never said Week 2 Mcoys Sons 2-2 Bayern Bru Mcoys Sons were furious when they lost 2 points and a first win of the season to a lucky Bru side deep into injury time. The Sons played a 3-5-2 formation against the Brus defensive/counter attacking 3-5-2 set up. The Sons struck first as they looked adventurous going forward when Jibl hit a shot in off the post on 21 minutes. 19 year old Alnoudji hit back against the Sons with a header past a flailing Sons goalie. 6 minutes later Rufus curled in a beautiful free kick to give the Sons the lead into the break. Bru had more chances in the 2nd half but the Sons looked by far the superior side. However failing to kill off the game the Sons had to defend one last long ball in the 93rd minute. The captain MacCalman leapt up above Sons heads and headed it straight into the goal. The Sons manager was livid claiming MacCalman had barged his way to a goal and also their was no reason for any injury time as there were no injuries! Bru fans went wild while the Sons will feel it is 2 out of 2 for unlucky results this season. Roostophe Rovers 1-0 Essex Elites Fresh off their victory against Dysonism, Rovers won narrowly against the Elites at home. Rovers played a 3-5-2 formation against a standard 4-4-2 from the Elites. The match was a rather dull one with only 4 chances, 2 for each team. It was Rovers who scored the only goal when Mazzoleni in the first half found his way past his marker and sped towards the Elites goalie with the ball. He skillfully sent him the wrong way and the ball went in off the post. The tempo of the match was stifled in part because of a few injuries the most serious of which was a bad one to the Elites veteran playmaker Danny Ling who will be out for most of this month. The Elites played well against an average looking Rovers side but lacked a creative spark or killer instinct to get an equalizer. Rovers keep their momentum while the Elites may look on this game as a lost opportunity. Happenstance FC 0-2 Haden United Fellow Nexus members battled against each other as United bounced back from their poor opening game. Happenstance played a 4-4-2 formation against an aggressive 4-3-3 set up played by United. After a poor opening game United fans were not a happy bunch but todays result and style left them with smiles on their faces. The opening half was quite boring, Happenstance tried to push forward but United seemed to have the measure of them. In the 2nd half United decided to really go for the 3 points and it paid off. Mozzini who was in charge of the 3 man midfield found Marconossi who slammed in his first goal of the season with great satisfaction. With a minute to go United were awarded a penalty and last seasons top goal scorer Durov stepped up to put it in the bottom right hand corner. United looked by far the better team and Happenstance will want to look at this result as an early warning for his team. Battlestar Odwinica 1-0 Silverdale Hotpot Odwinica with various injury and suspension issues still bested Silverdale at home. Odwinica had a midfielder suspended and another injured for this match and lined up with an unusual 5-2-3 formation against Silverdales possession orientated 4-5-1 set up. Remarkably looking at the formations Odwinica managed to have more possession and more chances! Hudson up front by himself for Silverdale was unable to make any impact against an impressive Odwinica back 5. In what would turn out to be his last game Dinicolantonio scored in the 19th minute when he chested a ball from Oy down and lobbed it past an out of position goalie. Dinicolantonio has been a useful player for Odwinica but he is a manager who emphasizes youth which may be the reason the veteran was put on the transfer market. It is good he did score though as Bello missed a penalty for Odwinica in the 2nd half and the score finished at 1-0. Odwinica will be happy to get 3 points while Silverdale will have to wait for their first win. Dysonian Wanderers 0-4 Edd Kirby Athletic The league saw a huge shock result today as newly promoted Athletic decimated current champions Wanderers 4-0 at the Wanderers home ground. Wanderers played an aggressive 3-4-3 against a standard 4-4-2 Athletic set up. Midfielder Saeys leaped up with a great header to give Athletic an early lead. After this Brailey set up Mortimer for a crashing long shot that rocked the back of Wanderers net. Wanderers were in all sorts of trouble by half time but before the whistle blew MacLean curled home a peach of a goal (his first for a couple of seasons) to make it 3-0 to the visitors. Athletic headed into the break with 6 chances to 1 for Wanderers and a 3-0 lead. Wanderers handled Athletic better after the break but a second Mortimer goal via a header this time killed the game off completely. The worst thing was, after Athletics new veteran midfielder Oliver soured his debut by being sent off for an awful two footed tackle, Wanderers could not even capitalize against 10 men to get a consolation goal. For Athletic while Bain is their star player their creative midfield and deadly attack was evident in this game.
