I managed to download the game and finish Green Hill Zone before setting off for work. Loving what i've played so far. I was scouring the stages for quite a bit but only managed to pick up 1 Chaos Emerald. Also, what are the tokens for that you get in the Sonic 3 type special stages? I nabbed a few of them ( think I exhausted the amount of times these stages appear as they stopped showing up for me ) but I have no idea what they do.

Looking forward to putting some more time into to it later today.

I honestly thought they were the special stages to get the Emeralds.  Seems the tokens unlock stuff, which is a nice touch.

I'm in love with this game, playing a Sonic game this fun again sends me back to my childhood.  The updated music is just, well words can't describe it really.

  2. That would depend on if i retained memories of the games and consoles i played in the past.  If that was the case, i'd go back to the GameCube.  It was the perfect home console, it had the ability (via a massive adapter) to play Gameboy games* on the big screen also.  It also had a fantastic gaming library, including the entire Prime trilogy, Wind Waker, Mario Sunshine and it had Metal Gear Solid: Twin Snakes.

*Some SNES and NES titles were available on the Gameboy Advance, so i'd have a library of these titles available to play also

If i had no memories of gaming past, i'd just go in at the current level and get either a Switch, PS4 or Xbox One.  I mean, i'd have no memories of it.

  3. I went back onto Assassin's Creed Syndicate the other week, as i realised i never finished the DLC "The Last Maharaja" and "Jack the Ripper".  The Ripper DLC was probably the better of the 2 if i'm honest, the Maharaja was more of the same from Syndicate if i'm honest.

  4. Spoiler

I just loved the look on Jaimie and Bronn's faces when they heard the Dothraki coming, more so when they saw Drogon.  Sort of a "ah crap" moment.  That battle is up there with Battle of the Bastards in sheer brutality.  Once Drogon arrived, was it worth raising wooden shields against a fire breathing dragon?.  Arya against Brienne was a good moment, Brienne was more shocked that Arya had the skills to combat her.

  5. It's unfortunate that attendance will be low this year, but i had a feeling it might have been.  I'd have come along this year myself, however i'm trying to save up for a deposit (more so now than before).  Plus, it doesn't help that i've not had a proper pay rise in years and it's finally just hitting my pocket.  Luckily, i don't have anything on my credit card to pay off.  For those going, i hope you have a great time none the less and the weather holds up.

  6. Had a bit of spare money left over, so decided to pre-purchase all my pre-orders on Shopto.

Did also raid the PSN Summer sale, and bought

    Brothers_A_Tale_of_Two_Sons_cover_art.jp

Also bought The Witness as well

And finally, not as such a purchase.  More a prize from a competition i entered

And that's about it for the year, bar Destiny 2, Pokemon Ultra Sun and Horizon's DLC.

Oh, and i also bought some new jeans, a few new t-shirts and a pair of shoes out of my birthday monies.

I don't even think that's possible. The whole purpose of PSNow was because it was too much hassle for Sony to rework the older games to be compatible with the PS4 hardware, hence why there have been older PS2 and PS3 games released as download titles in drips and drabs. PSNow eliminates that as you're just streaming the game for elsewhere, so it doesn't necessarily matter about the hardware that you're using.

If Microsoft can do it with the Xbox One (even though at one point they themselves said it wasn't possible), i'm sure it's possible for Sony to do it with the PS4.

    Who knows really.

N64 games were mostly bought for birthdays or second hand, without a box. I remember buying WWF No Mercy second hand for about £30+ quite a while after release. We've got it much better now in that department.

Still, I can see why people are aggrieved by it. It is more money when it comes down to it. Obviously, not as much as the British Gas hike announced today, but it's still money. I hope that the money does get used wisely or we get better games for PS+, etc.

What i'd like (and i'm not sure if many would agree on this) is if the PS3 part of PS+ ended, which it's likely to seeing as their can't be that many games left to provide for a console that has recently stopped being produced.  What i'd like to see is possibly 1 or 2 PS Now games included for PS+ subs per month and/or a big PS4 title and a smaller indie game (i don't complain about the PS4 indie game offerings on PS+, it gave me a chance to play games i'd never have thought about playing before).

If the service remains the same, then i can fully understand why people are upset over the increase.

  9. It sucks, but what can you do about it.  Only sure fire way is to vote with your wallet and not pay.  I honestly thought it was an increase as they were adding PS Now to the sub, but it's not.

Luckily i bought a sub on the e3 sale, so i'm good until 2018.

  10. Group has been upgraded to Year 2.  Anyone not a Clan member will be automatically removed (this is outside of mine and the admins hands as this is a Bungie decision).  So if anyone wants to remain in the N-Europe Clan, become a Clan member by August 23rd.  This way, the benefits of the clan will pay off for everyone.  If it remained a group, we'd lose all the benefits that Bungie have said are coming.

As a curious question, how many are looking to get Destiny 2?

@Jimbob Are you still around here? The Clan Migration for Destiny 2 is gonna happening later on today on bungie.net site and I'm not sure if it requires the founder or clan admins.

I'm keeping an eye on it, i think anyone with admin controls can change it.  So that's me, Sheikah, Cookyman, Flameboy and Shorty who can make changes.

  12. Decent opener, wasn't expecting too much to happen.  I still think The Hound is one of the better characters in the show.  Sheerans cameo (if if can be called that), he stood out a bit.  And was bland in comparison to the extras they had next to him.

    Spoiler

Now that Daenerys has reached the main land, and Sam figured out the Targaryens built Dragonsreach on a mine of Dragonglass, it's only a matter of time before Jon Snow meets with Daenerys.  Perhaps he'll help take Kings Landing with her, then onwards to help the Wall defeat the Whitewalkers with the Dragons (or the other way around).  Cersai has too many enemies to try and form a resistance to the North and South of Kings Landing now.

  13. I'll be editing this post once i get home to add some photos.

There's a new school being built right by the old Comprehensive, so a few people organised and advertised what was to be the biggest reunion of former pupils before they tear the old Comp down.  So, decided to pop along and see what's what.  Was certainly nice to be able to wander around and rekindle the good (and some bad) memories.  Even saw one of my old mates taking various things, he said it was all going to be thrown out so help yourself.  He had 3 beakers, a Bunsen burner and a lab coat.  People were writing on the walls, doors and all the boards they could find just in case anyone they may have missed would see it.  They had memory books for people to write comments in.  For me, what was quite nostalgic was when i returned to my old form room after 16 years.  Was in the room seconds when some of my old classmates came up, and one of the old teachers also.  Certainly bought back memories, and a tear.  It's not that i don't see them anymore, it was just nostalgic.

It's a shame it's to be torn down, but then it was build in the late 50's (total of 3 additional buildings were built, 1 has gone to make room for the new school.  And the newest building is also the most unsafe, so no-one went in after someones foot went through the rotten floorboard.  The new school opens in September, the old school starts to be demolished later this year.

  14. And that is Fallout 4 now complete.  Apart from some radiant quests for a faction or two, and a few side quests, it's mostly done.  Probably spent a good 200 hours just wandering the wasteland, exploring locations and collecting junk to construct the settlements.

    Spoiler

Went for the Institute/Minutemen ending.  Chose to wipe the Railroad and Brotherhood of Steel out, thought for me it would be the best option on how i was playing.   The story felt weak in places, mostly towards the end.

Not bad for my first Fallout game, but overall i feel this could have been a better experience.  I've heard Fallout 3 and NV are better games, so i might dig into them down the line.

With Fallout 4 done, might go back to playing Elder Scrolls V and see if i can finish it this year also.
