So, who's up for some hunting today? @S\.C\.G, @Vileplume2000, @RedShell, @Deathjam, @Kaepora_Gaebora I'll be on from around 5.
-
There's a googly eyes enemy... And it can plonk itself on to random objects... And bring them to life... Masterful! I also like how Laylee seems to be incorporated in the transformation designs. Was wondering what they were gonna do with no backpack to hide in. EDIT: The press release mentioned something along the lines of "We're listening to your feedback and we're taking it into consideration. But we're still not putting pants on the lizard" I wonder if that's gonna be some kind of running gag? They've mentioned Yooka wears no clothes ever since they revealed the game. Just a thought, really. I can see it happening.

Yeah, I read about that on GAF. Unless someone can provide an actual link to the page in question, I'm calling bull on this. Retail "Leaks" are normally very iffy anyway.
-
Fraid not. Sorry. But I will be available tomorrow if you still need help then.

I never really thought about exactly why I prefer DKC3 over the second one. But I think that review sums it up nicely. I do prefer the exploration focus. That said, I do think Kiddy compliments Dixie better than Diddy did. Being a character suited more to "experts" while Dixie acting as a safer alternative with her helicopter spin. The cheat codes are also very entertaining. Whether it's simple ones like "WATER" which unlocks a special Banana Bird cave that gives you one shot at getting all the Bonus Coins at once. Or there's "MERRY", a purely aesthetic cheat which makes each Bonus game Christmas based, complete with new music. Or there's the truly masochistic "TUFST", which removes all DK and halfway Barrels. Persevere with that though and you can get a truly bragtastic 105%! That said, Rocket Rush is still my least favourite level in the series. Truly unfair and unfun. One more thing @S\.C\.G and anyone else who's thinking of trying PMD. Seeing as you'll no doubt play it some time in the future. Provided I haven't already spoiled it somehow... Don't watch the intro to Explorers of Sky, it's chock full of spoilers! The game kinda assumes you've played Explorers of Darkness/Time and it would be a shame to have some late game twists ruined before you've even started.

Oh Snap! Wait, that's not right... Oh Mystery Dungeon! I'm not even gonna get paranoid on how creepily timed that was! And another game perfect for Miiverse!
-
I wouldn't put your money on that. Pokemon is never an interesting game to watch. The exception being hilarious speed runs that use glitches to finish the game in less than a minute.
-
Neat. I'll probably give it a miss though. Whenever I go back to Snap, I always get burnt out about halfway through. Which isn't a good thing, considering how short it is. Miiverse is perfect for this game. Still waiting for Explorers of Sky to escape America...

Fourth? That's a bit of a stretch, don't you think? I mean, yeah sure, technically it counts. But who here actually used it for that purpose?
-
Could you imagine if they actually implemented a similar mechanic in the mainline games? The entirety of Smogon would throw a fit!
-
You're not the first to say that. I didn't even watch the whole first series. 10 year old me checked out about halfway through it. Rather be the trainer than watch Mr. Ketchum Thunderbolt his way to inevitable League failure. I've dipped in a few times. The first two PMD specials and Origins being the main things, but it was too much stuff condensed into a small space of time, much like you said. I mean, I'd love to see an actual series based on Explorers of Sky, but that episode came and went and half an hour is not even close to telling that story. They'd probably kiddify the crap out of it and just annoy me anyway. I've been told so many times that I should give the latest series a try, but I just look at that damn Greninja abomination and I'm scared I'll actually groan myself to death. Much like I do whenever someone names the Gen 1 rival "Gary" It's Blue, damnit!
-
Shall I just go ahead and ask a mod to rename this the "Pokemon Anime topic"? I've never felt so lost in a Pokemon topic.

Right, room is up. 34-6905-2977-7856 Passcode is 4444

Where? I'm looking on the Nintendo site and they classify it as an RPG. (Kinda vague, it's a Roguelike)

You're right, it isn't fair. Which is why I'm such a bizarre situation. The simple reason I don't have a connection is the same reason I would never even consider getting a PS4/XBone. My disposable income sucks. Now provided I did have a connection, would I pay a monthly fee for online access? Not straight away. The majority of the games I play on home consoles (Yeah, yeah, I know NX is all sorts of mysteries) are single player affairs. So it would absolutely depend on the games I got. Now taking the free VC games, etc. It depends on two key factors. Now bear with me, because I don't know how this works on PS+. It depends on whether I can keep the games. And whether it's a constantly supported service throughout the console's life. If I can keep the games, sure, I'd pay for that. If it's just a trial period, than I'd "Nope" all the way out of that. Although, call me cynical, but a few free VC games for 3 quid a month seems like madness.

Well, there's me. Granted, I'm a strange situation in that I don't have an internet connection, but I use DCubed's internet connection to download stuff and play online now and again. Therefore, I would not get as much value out of a subscription if they introduced one.
-
Well, @S\.C\.G, @Glen\-i

I'm so glad you chose that music for the first GP. Put a big smile on my face.

OK, the room is open. 49-4952-8191-0087 Passcode: 4444

@Dcubed, 2nd Mount Wario, last corner. I totally channeled my Adept Mode skills there!
-
Did somebody say "anyone else"?
-
Great, online now. Hub ID is 38-5044-6043-7214 Passcode is something you know already. Great night hunting that got me done with HR3. Thanks @S\.C\.G and @RedShell. I'm not sure which moment I liked best, Bulldrome's revenge, S.C.G's quick trip to hell (It was warm), my catastrophic fence failure or me getting a whole Iodrome for myself to carve.
-
@S\.C\.G Are you available at 8pm? Just wondering. Might as well mention @Deathjam and @Vileplume2000 while I'm at it.
-
Oh, don't you start. I already get enough of that nonsense from Serebii. Also Grumpig is Gen 3. And way too awesome for you anyway. The nostalgia is strong with this one. 2 of those Alolan Forms are Palette Swaps, so I'm not sure I can agree with that. And in what universe are the likes of Krookodile, Hydreigon and Greninja not "Super Sick"? I've already got more than 6 new Pokemon I would like to use for my playthrough, and none of them are Alolan forms. So it already beats Gen 6 in regards to design.
