  1. I want my 360 to get the RROD, I've got 2 months left of my instore warranty and I don't want to expect the worse everyday I use the console anymore with this 360 manufactured in November 2006 bought in March 2007.

It seems to conveniently die after the instore warranty ends.

  2. I definitely recommend Blue Dragon it's so well done despite the storyline being cliche it does have it's moments and twists, the job system adds so much depth, the battle system is old school turn based with a twist it has a charge bar which determines how much power you give your attacks and spells and whether you attack before or after your other party members and monsters. The music composed by the great Nobuo Uematsu and graphics are superb despite some tearing and slight frame drops its not as bad unplayable as Mass Effect though.

I didn't like Eternal Sonata myself it's a nice looking game with Baten Kaitos quality type of a music from Motoi Sakuraba but the storyline is randomness itself with dialog that drags on and on and the battle system is real time with but it get's repetitive against the random monsters you find in the dungeons and outside the town you start it (there isn't a world map more like linear paths) but is enjoyable when it comes to the bosses.

  3. Bioshock is better than Gears of War in my opinion anyway. Apart from that Orange Box is outstanding and COD 4 is very good.

Non FPS titles worth mentioning is the wealth of Racing titles (even though I don't really like them others might), Viva Pinata and Blue Dragon both which I've played and recommend.

  4. You might think we were all over them because we were able to play them on the counter because they pressed forward in the second half but we didn't keep the ball nearly as well, our defence was shaky especially in the last 15-20 mins probably because of recent games which might have gone punished if Drogba started, Shevchenko was let down by bad touch several times and slowed down the play for them.

It was a very scrappy game especially, both teams gave the ball away needlessly at times.

I was expecting more of a easier game for us since they were missing Essien, Drogba, Carvalho, Malouda and Terry (when he got injured) when we had Fabregas and Hleb back I don't think both should have played I really wanted to see RVP start.

  5. Hleb and Fabregas are hugely important without them we are short in creativity cos Rosicky has shown he isn't much of a creative playmaker like them, he's been poor lately when we needed him most. Even more important than Van Persie even.

Though we had Flamini in the second half against Villa we still struggled that is how important they are.

  6. Metroid Prime 3 and then Mass effect or COD 4 perhaps if you prefer RPG's or COD 4 if you want another good FPS.

COD 4 is very good but there has been better FPS games this year IMO, we've had Bioshock and Orange Box which I enjoyed more.

But it does have multiplayer that is the usual Call Of Duty fun.

  7. I have plenty of unregistered stars to get me that Zelda statue thing, but the damn site won't accept either my pin codes, or that security code thing. le sigh

Use capital letters when typing out the PIN code for the security thing I don't know I just get lucky after a while..

  8. Strangely enough I'm on the same part as you, I've already played HL2 but I'm playing through it again, those damn antlions were getting my way in Nova Prospekt.

I got killed once standing next to a tripmine which a antlion decided to run into while I was trying to avoid a turret and two combine soldiers.

  9. For a sports game for Fifa 08 I think I prefer Dual Analog the extra buttons are needed and the right analog stick is used for tricks. Sometimes the extra buttons are needed sometimes they are a burden and makes things worse cos developers feel they need to make use of all the buttons.

For a FPS the Mouse and keyboard setup is still the best in precision and speed but not necessarily the most fun, dual analog is average for a FPS but it does it's job however it is clunky, slow and imprecise compared to M&K and the Wii Remote.

I found that on Metroid Prime 3 my arms would ache if I didn't relax my arms and pointed at the screen frantically.

Red Steel was a massive amount of fun when it came to shooting at things it was quick and precise besides zooming in, but we haven't even got Medal of Honour Heroes 2 yet and that has improved things from how good the controls already are in Metroid.

  10. I'm pretty disappointed with this year despite having Metroid Prime 3 and Mario Galaxy late on it's been fairly mediocre.

Three or Four of them are must haves in my opinion (Mario, Metroid and Trauma Center and maybe RE 4) three of them are something to consider (Sonic, Excite Truck RE4/SSX Blur). Trauma Center is the best third party game this year and that was out last year in the US.

The last 4 four months of this year would of made up for things if you go back to August before some of the delays. If one or two came out this side of the year it would of been a better year since most of the titles are much better than what was released earlier this year.

I wanted Zack and Wiki or Medal of Honour Heroes 2 at the very least this Christmas.

Now if you look at the US releases this year that is what I call a pretty good year despite Smash Brothers being delayed, they still have the likes of Zack and Wiki, Battalion Wars 2, Fire Emblem, Medal of Honour, Trauma Center New Blood and NiGHTS next month besides Mario and Metroid. Four of them are quality third party games consider it three if NiGHTS flops :p.
