  1. short tempers too, all im saying is that you strike and dont give a sh!te about all the people and businesses that will suffer from your repeated selfish strikes,

if you were more considerate to the people, you might get some support,

Oh no, people worrying more about their jobs, families and the future of the royal mail than if some spotty oik of a school kid gets bad feedback for the cheapo phone covers and second hand xbox games he's flogging on ebay. How inconsiderate.

  2. Yeah, because sacking lots of people and cutting their wages so less people want to be postmen is all about making the service better, not about saving money so they can award directors obscene bonuses.

You've been taken in by the word "streamlining", which is not surprising - from your spelling I'm guessing (hoping) you're about 12/13, so it would be quite a big and impressive word for you.

  3. Good on them, you need trade unions and workers to fuck shit up every now and again to keep in check the clueless oafs in middle management who have no idea what goes on in the actual day to day running of the business by the people who have to do the work. As some people in this thread will find when they leave school and (maybe) get a job.

  4. The best and worst of Alan Smith:

Villa Real's official site says we've signed Jose Enrique, the Chronicle, Lancashire Evening Post, & Mirror say we're back in for Baines and apparently we've just signed Dragutinovic!

Finally all kicking off on the transfer front :D

    EDIT:

Caçapa has now signed a two year deal

  5. Martins is about to sign a new contract without the release clauses which were in his old one and apparently Owen's £9 million get-out clause closed last month. Should never have had those clauses in any players contract in the first place completely daft and bad business.

  6. Thing is we need a left back, and top class left backs are very hard to come by. If you've got a cracking young player with a good left foot he's going to want to play left wing, and no coach is going to stick him at the back.

There is a really good video on YouTube that shows him doing the ugly stuff well.

Luque looks like Pele x2 on YouTube.

  7. I don't think anyone really can say they hate their home town or dislike it unless they lived in a incest village.

I used to think Whitley Bay was pretty shit, then I lived in Stoke for 3 years, which is essentially a 3rd world country lost in the middle of England. Stoke doesn't need investment it needs a holy flood.

  8. Yup, London, the capital city is a grubby shit hole.... :-/
I know, it's sad isn't it? Have to go there for work a fair bit sadly :/ Someone needs to give the place a bloody good scrub. Even the nice bits tend to be only a few steps away from squalor.
So much worse to live in London then lets say Liverpool, Manchester or Newcastle..... Yup.... :-/

Definitely rather live here on the coast, alongside the beauty of northumberland, the lake district etc than choking in London, yeah. It's not too bad staying there for the odd week for work, but I couldn't live there. I could live in Manchester, nice place especially in the city centre. Would be living there now if I hadn't settled down with a girl from my hometown after uni, arranged to move there with a few mates. Not too sure about Liverpool though - only really seen the area around football grounds and on that basis I wouldn't touch it with a barge pole, but it's not usually the best way to judge a city. Been all around London though and I couldn't hack it.

Imagine I could move down there and work in White City if I asked my bosses but I'd rather stay here, ta.

Have you been to Newcastle? Had some cockney folks up not too long ago and they seemed amazed we didn't live in a two-up-two down with a whippet and a pigeon loft.

Honestly, like I said around 20% of Englands population live in London

And around 80% of people do not live in London.

Putting in in London does make sense though in a way though. You know you'll get a full capacity of Liverpool, Newcastle or Man U fans even if you put it on the moon, but Chelsea couldn't even be arsed to go as far as Manchester to watch a semi-final.

Had a cracking time in Cardiff, much better than previous outings to Wembley.

  9. You've just saved me typing about London's good transport links. Thanks

Incredibly overloaded transport links, even with the congestion change. No brainer for me that it should have been central, at least it would mean fans from all over the country don't have to slum it in the grubby shit hole that is the vast majority of Lahndaan Taahn.

Looks like a new college libary or an airport in that one :D

These sweeping curves and twiddly bits for the sake of twiddly bits are very like American sports grounds, is that the influence of the new owners? Is it true they'll have to redesign some of it because the gradient is too steep and conforms to US rules but not British ones?

Dunno if this is the best way to go about it, trying to put a wacky spaceship in the middle of a nice green area isn't the best way to get planning permission.

At least it'll cost them nowt to get rid of Anfield, the scousers will do it for them. Can imagine it being like the Berlin wall with everyone decending on it to nab a "souvenir"

  11. did Celtic play anything resembling a full strength team, I ask this because Luque scored twice :P

And only played one half, no less :o Weren't exactly screamers, but some good tap ins.

    Celtic played:

Boric, Caddis (Jarosik 77), Kennedy, McManus, Naylor, Brown, Hartley, Donati, McGeady, Vennegoor of Hesselink (Miller 66), Zurawski,

But they were no match for the decisive pass from Steve Harper which set up Jinky James Milner for the 4th goal :D

Discovered last night some Celtic fans apparently think it's cool to sing in support of Al Quaeda now the IRA have dissapointed them by no longer blowing up Englishmen :indeed: Not that some of the Rangers fans aren't equally bad with the sectarian shite.

  12. 3-0 up against Celtic at half time so we played the second half with a load of kids like Huntingdon, Pattison, Edgar, Caroll and Troisi, let reserve keeper Steve Harper play centre forward and then played the last part of the match with 10 men after taking Taylor off because he took a bit of a knock.

    Still won 4-1

Over 30,000 there, good attendance for a friendly.

  13. About to head of to the pub to watch the Newcastle-Celtic match on Setanta, wonder if it'll have the same big black bars either side of the screen and Tim Sherwood talking nonsense as the Spurs matches earlier in the week - "That's their first shot on target" after someone sent the ball into Row Z "Well, not on target, but you know what I mean"
