stev2604 Posted August 23, 2006 Posted August 23, 2006 Hi My Aunt recently bought a new MP3 player(iAudio x5 or something) and she wants to download music for it. My first thought was iTunes, but that doesnt work with her MP3 player. What would be the best and most reliable place to download it from? Thanks
Mr_Odwin Posted August 24, 2006 Posted August 24, 2006 Her own CDs would be the best and most reliable - you choose how to encode and there's no drm protection. Online you could try hmv/tesco/napster.
Guest Jordan Posted August 24, 2006 Posted August 24, 2006 Theres also UUUURRRGGEEE (or Urge) from Microsoft that works with Windows Media Player 11 (XP or Vista) and WMP10 i think. Its pretty cheap too.
stev2604 Posted August 24, 2006 Author Posted August 24, 2006 Napster and Urge arent available in Ireland. Any others?
Charlie Posted August 24, 2006 Posted August 24, 2006 mycokemusic.com I think tiscali.co.uk do it as well...
Guest Jordan Posted August 25, 2006 Posted August 25, 2006 mycokemusic.com Not for much longer, they are merging with iTunes.
RoadKill Posted September 4, 2006 Posted September 4, 2006 CDs, as Mr_Odwin said, or if you like to support the Russian Mafia (and I probably would if I didn't download my music for free elsewhere) then http://www.allofmp3.com is an option . Also, Yahoo are trialling a new DRM-free service on their site I believe, but it's something stupid like $1.99 per song.
