How can I find out my pc specs

Hi all recently formatted my pc just need to install the drivers for my video controller (vga compattible) only thing is I don't know what make it is or anything like that just wondering if there is a program that can tell me what I am running?

Can't think of a program that can do that. But you probably will find out what it is if you open the case and take a look at the actual card. But if it's integrated, you should find out the model of the motherboard and see what graphics chip it's using.

There's a program available from driverguide.com that does just that. It makes you pay if you want to search for the drivers on their site, but in the app it shows what the device is so you can just search manually once you know the details.

Actually that only tells you what vid card you have if the drivers are installed. If you just formatted it could well say "unknown device" or "vga device" or something like that, which wouldn't be very helpful ;) although you may be able to update your drivers from devmgr online using right click (that doesn't work very often).
