DiemetriX Posted July 12, 2006 Posted July 12, 2006 Does anyone know of a program to stream videos over the net? Would love to be able to stream my anime and movies over the nett and watch them wherever I am.
Mr_Odwin Posted July 12, 2006 Posted July 12, 2006 I believe that this can do it: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=5691ba02-e496-465a-bba9-b2f1182cdf24&displaylang=en However, I've found the software to be a bit buggy. And I think VLC can do it too, but it's not such an easy task.
Shino Posted July 12, 2006 Posted July 12, 2006 You have your own server, why don't you dedicate part of it for that?
DiemetriX Posted July 12, 2006 Author Posted July 12, 2006 I don't want to waste my Bandwith on it. I only have 10GB a month. And I have come close to useing it all without streming media from it.
Shino Posted July 12, 2006 Posted July 12, 2006 So I assume your server is a different machine from where you're streaming the videos, like you're pc. You could install some server app on you're computer (ISS, Apache), and use it when needed.
